"5 Stone Plumbing did an amazing job with my drain line blockage from start to finish. They answered the call and made me comfortable every step of the way. I would recommend them to anyone that has any plumbing needs. They came in and solved my drain line issue and kept everything clean in the process. 5 stars across the board!!!!!!"

"Austin was great!!! His communication and explanation of recommended solutions was like no other. He was tasked to fix an issue from previous plumber that would not come back to correct faulty install of spigot and water hydrant. Austin explained what happened with the previous installation and the below par accessories that the previous plumber used. Austin also installed water faucet , water line , trench, and installed French drain for outdoor sink that we had waited for the previous plumber to install for almost 2 years . We highly recommend Austin for his quality of work, professionalism, explanation of resolution and communication from first call to job completion! Well done sir, thank you for completing the jobs in a timely manner !!!!"

"The job went great! They were able to remove a very large drainpipe that was 5 feet below the road. Additionally they installed a larger pipe for us, and did an excellent job getting it seated in place and covering it up. The road going into our farm doesn't flood anymore and the water is able to drain nicely on the sides where they helped dig the angle much better than any piece of farm equipment we had on hand. Mr. Lozy was kind enough to help us dig a really small pond for the deer as well. With his excavator it took 3 minutes, what would have taken me 18 hours and a broken back to do with a shovel."

"I have a walkout basement that has trouble in severe rains that floods my basement under the door. We had a small sump pump installed, but it did not help Memorial weekend when we had Biblical rains hit the area. My sump and shopvac were working overtime as the ground was so saturated. I called four contractors for estimates. Falcone was the first to show up three days later. Chris spent a great deal of time talking with us on our concerns and inspecting our property. He gave us a fast and fair quote. Our job was able to be completed within three weeks of scheduling it. It took four days for Chris, Kenny and their crew to install an internal french drain system in my basement and crawl space as well as a door drain along with a sump and backup. They were kind, respectful, and efficient. They did a great job and cleaned up the basement work area and my property when they were done. Maryl in the business office was great to work with. Everyone I was in contact with at Falcone was communicative and very nice to deal with. I would definitely recommend and would call on them again in a heartbeat. Thanks!"

"Robert Cook was assigned to check on my basement drainage system today. He was very through and knowledgeable. He went over everything he did to be sure the system has been installed properly. He gave us advice about humidity levels in the basement. I appreciate his diligence and the information he gave us. We are thankful for his help."

"Todd and company did a very thorough job and explained it well. Even though it was taking longer than thought to complete the job, a french drain, and I told them they didn't need to feel compelled to complete the job in one day and could come back the next day to finish up. But they instead persevered and finished the job that one day. That work ethic is sorely missed by many in contemporary society and is a refreshing break from the reality."

"Chris was very thorough and went above and beyond which is why we chose Crawl Space Jam for our project. We needed full crawl space encapsulation with a dehumidifier due to moisture and mold issues. Other companies recommended installing perimeter drainage and a sump pump in addition to encapsulation. Chris did the extra work to uncover an existing perimeter drain in our crawl space and he even tested it to ensure it was draining properly. I recommend Crawl Space Jam without hesitation."

French Drains questions, answered by experts

It’s possible to snake minor drain clogs yourself, provided they sit within a foot or two of the drain itself, but it’s usually best to hire a professional plumber regardless. Even experienced DIYers have a high chance of accidentally pushing the clog further into the drain using a drain snake or another tool, so hiring a plumber is the ideal course of action. A professional plumber can use camera equipment to locate and identify the clog, and remove the entire blockage to fix your issue permanently.

It’ll take 20 to 30 minutes to unclog a sewer line using a drain snake or drain cleaner. If you hire a professional, you should expect them to be on-site for three hours or less. In addition to clearing the clog, they’ll do other routine inspections, which adds to the overall time (and cost) required.

A washing machine should drain the water used during its cycle through a drainpipe and out through the house’s plumbing. This is the same plumbing that sinks and shower drains run to, and if the U-bend is installed correctly, it shouldn’t smell. The total drainage from the house is then integrated into the city sewer system or, if you’re in the country, dispersed into a septic tank.

Baking soda and vinegar aren’t just great for making a volcano for your kid’s science project. You can also pour this dynamic duo down your shower drain to dissolve hair clogs. If that doesn’t do the trick, you can step it up with a commercial liquid drain cleaner.

Sometimes, the drain is just too clogged—thanks, stubborn hair and soap scum. In this case, you’ll need a more powerful drain cleaner than you can DIY safely at home. But this doesn’t mean you have to choose a traditional drain cleaner.

You can find biodegradable drain cleaners at your local home improvement store or online for those drains that need a little more oomph

While on the hunt for a formidable drain cleaner, the best options are non-chemical clog solutions that combine enzymes and bacteria.
