"Kamara is THE BEST. He fixed my HVAC problem and at affordable price, where Morris Jenkins couldnâ t fix it. He has very good knowledge about the system. He puts his heart and soul into the problem to fix it and his work definitely speaks. He walk through the system, the problem, the options and cost effective one out of it. I was able to gain some knowledge on the HVAC system and a big thanks to him for that too! I was a Morris Jenkins priority advantage member and now I got rid of it and I chose to go with Kamara for any further HVAC maintenance and itâ s problems. I would definitely recommend him and obviously 10/10."

Small jobs welcome

"Reagan called to ask about my issue with my AC, and made time to come by my house the same day. He called prior to arriving and came at the time he said he’d be here. He was professional, courteous and informative. I would recommend him, and will absolutely contact him again for future HVAC needs."

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

If your whole house is cold that’s one thing, but what if you only have a few rooms that are cold? First, you need to determine why this may be happening. A good place to start is to investigate the potential causes listed in this article—heat transfer, airflow, thermostat problems, humidity, and insulation. Once you’ve narrowed down the issue, you’d apply the same principles to the cold rooms as you would to the entire home.

Some AC filters, known as reusable filters, can be cleaned and reinserted. Most AC filters, however, are disposable and cannot be cleaned.

If your central AC is not blowing cold air, you should try resetting the system. Many systems have a reset button. Make sure your thermostat is off, then turn off the circuit breaker that powers your AC. Hold the reset button for three to five seconds, then turn the circuit back on. Set your thermostat to cool and choose a temperature cooler than the room. Your system should turn on quickly.

While 72 degrees is a comfortable setting for many people, it’s likely not the most efficient temperature setting for your air conditioning unit. By pushing the temperature up to 75 or 78 degrees, you stand to save money on your energy bill. That said, these temperatures may be too warm to be comfortable for some people and are definitely too warm for most people to sleep comfortably.

A new HVAC system combines components to control indoor temperature and air quality. Features include a furnace or heat pump and an air conditioner or evaporator coil, depending on the climate requirements. It also involves a network of ductwork for air distribution, a thermostat for temperature regulation, and electrical connections. Air purifiers or humidifiers can be integrated to improve indoor air quality.
