"I would highly recommend Kiker’s Tree Service. They were efficient, affordable and polite. I had a total of 6 quotes to get trees trimmed and taken down. Kiker’s Tree Service came out to be much lower in price, then the others. Travis was a pleasure to work with, he made the process easy and comfortable. The staff was professional and communicated through out the day. The team finished a big project in one day. They were all knowledgeable and friendly and they cleaned up perfectly. I even added extra stuff to the project the day of the job. They were very accommodating with reasonable pricing. I would certainly use then again for future projects. You will be total satisfied with the results you will get."

"The work was done in record time. Evan was meticulous enough to e sure the area was cleared and set back ad if it was never disturbed. If you never k ew a tree 🌳 was there before it can go undetected. I am very pleased with his job and the level of professionalism demonstrated by him. I would recommend him highly for similar job."

"I think at first we had a little miscommunication. On 11/2/16 i received a call we talked for a little while and got everything back on track. He came right out that day and took care of business. They made quick work of taking down those trees and cleaning everything up. They came back the next morning and took care of grinding the stumps down and clean up all of that also. They really know what they are doing and do a terrific job. I was very pleased with there workmanship and speed of getting the job done. The price for all that i think was very reasonable I WOULD RECOMMEND BELL'S TREE SERVICE 100%. Also i would like to thank HOME ADVISOR for pointing me in there direction."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

It’s possible, although a lot depends on the cause of damage and what steps you take. If the remaining parts of the maple tree are alive and not under attack by disease or pests, they can often be saved even if large portions of the maple tree have died. Frequent watering, careful pruning, mulch, and any recommended fungicides or insecticides can all help with survival.

If a disease has attacked and destroyed the roots, then the tree may fall over as soon as it has died or while part of it is still alive. Trees that die with their roots left in place tend to stay standing for much longer, but those roots will decay eventually, allowing gravity to do the rest.

Unfortunately, most of the time you’re out of luck if a neighbor’s tree blocks your view. You don’t have a right to a view, so if you have a tree that’s near the property line but on your neighbor’s property, you can’t cut it to be able to take in a majestic mountain or a beautiful sunrise. In some communities, however, there are ordinances protecting scenic views. Checking into your local laws can help you determine your rights in this situation.

You need to remove all branches affected by Dutch elm disease. If your tree has several affected branches, you will probably need to remove the entire tree. First, consult a pro to be sure that you’ve correctly identified it as an elm tree. Make sure the tree is properly disposed of with a plastic covering or through debarking, chipping, or burning.

The best time to transplant a tree is when it is dormant. For many trees, this means either in the fall after the leaves have dropped (around October or November) or in early spring before new growth begins (around March). The ideal timing can depend on the type of tree. Deciduous trees do well when moved in early spring or fall, while evergreens are best transplanted in early spring or late summer. For example, pine trees are best moved in early fall, but maples prefer late fall. Avoid transplanting in winter, as the frozen or hard, cold soil poses a significant risk to the roots and prevents the tree from acclimating properly.
