"Ricky was wonderful. He did excellent work and we are extremely pleased. A good deal of limbs and brush had to be cleared to make room for the privacy fence; he took care of that, being careful to only what was necessary, and now the privacy fence looks like it has always been there. We opted for black chain link and are glad we did; it blends into the existing vegetation. We also had Him build a wooden gate to our deck, which was also expertly done."

"Jose and his crew did an awesome job. The repaired fence section that was replaced looks better than the rest of the fence. Definitely would hire this crew again. Will hire them for my other outdoor projects. Gracia- thank you."

"I recently had a 4' galvanized fence installed by this company and I couldn't be happier! They did an amazing job with the installation and the fence looks fantastic. It's not only sturdy and secure, but it also adds a nice touch to my property. I highly recommend them if you're looking for a top-notch fence installation. ??"

Fencing questions, answered by experts

A metal fence can last for over 30 years if maintained correctly, though the exact lifespan varies by material. For instance, chain-link and aluminum fences can function well for 25 to 30 years, while corrugated metal fences may last up to 60 years with regular maintenance. The lifespan can be shortened by harsh weather, abuse, or lower-quality materials. Galvanized metal tends to last longer due to its protective barrier, whereas sheet and corrugated metal may rust faster than solid pieces.

Typically, a fence requires one to two coats of stain. The exact number can vary depending on the porosity of the wood. For specific guidance, it's best to check the manufacturer's instructions. After applying the first coat and letting it dry completely, you can assess the finish. If it appears patchy, uneven, or you want a more saturated color, a second coat is recommended. An extra coat can also help cover lap marks.

Customization options include coatings, privacy slats, and incorporating colors or ornamental elements to enhance aesthetic appeal.

For a chain link fence, the ideal distance between fence posts is 6 to 10 feet apart. Measure carefully to ensure even spacing, and resist the temptation to extend the distance more than 10 feet. Doing so could impact the stability of your fence.

Black chain-link fences last an average of 15 to 20 years. The thicker a fence's wire gauge, the longer it will tend to last. The black vinyl coating gives the fence rust and corrosion resistance, but its life span may be lower in wet, humid, or coastal climates where moisture or salty air can corrode the coating more quickly.
