"First cleaning was a deep cleaning and these four ladies moved furniture around and cleaned beneath and dusted the walls behind the furniture. They did an extraordinary job. Then cleaning every 2 weeks is reasonably priced and again they do excellent work. I would highly recommend this service to everyone."

"Every month Cleaning Authority cleans our home and leaves it spotless. They are licensed and have a key on file, so we do not have to be home for the cleaning appointments which helps with our work schedules. We have used them for approx. 2 years."

"The guys that came to clean our ductwork did a great job. They were very professional and efficient. They took the time to clean every single vent cover, as well as vacuuming out the vents and treating the system. They also additionally mopped out and treated our upstairs ductwork where I had found mildew on a few vent covers, so I’m grateful they made sure to get everything. I would definitely recommend them!"

"Ducts were cleaned as we contracted for. When they finished the HVAC ducts they said they would do the dryer vent as a complimentary service. I told them I had recently cleaned it and they would probably not get much lint out of the vent. I was amazed at all they got out and it was at no additional charge."

"I am extremely satisfy with the pressure washing project results that were recently performed by ACS Pressure Washing at my property. The soft wash metal roof, house siding, gutters and concrete services had transformed by house from old and dirty to new and clean. I truly appreciate the assistance provided by Mr. Josh Watkins, owner of ACS Pressure Washing in the completion of this project from start to finish. I will definitely recommend ACS Pressure Washing to my family members and friends and hire ACS Pressure Washing for future pressure washing projects. Thank You so very much. :-)"

Cleaning questions, answered by experts

As a general rule of thumb, avoid handwashing dishes whenever possible—especially if you have a full sink. Using a dishwasher saves water and better sanitizes your dishes. However, if you have delicate dishwear, high-end glassware, or fragile plastics, you should opt to handwash it to avoid cracks, chips, or warping from the high heat of a dishwasher.

If you don’t want to use dishwasher pods, you can use liquid or powder dishwasher detergent or dishwasher tablets. Alternatively, you can make a DIY dish detergent by putting two or three drops of liquid dishwashing soap in the dispenser and filling the rest with baking soda. You should never use laundry detergent, household all-purpose cleaners, or a full dispenser of liquid dish detergent.

If you’re hiring someone to clean an empty and tidy house before you move in, there’s little prep work to do. Make sure to discuss your goals with the cleaning service, arrange entry to the house, and communicate any problem areas or special requests. If you’ve already moved into the house, or if it’s messy, it’s best to complete the following tasks before the cleaners arrive:

  • Declutter things like clothes, toys, or cardboard boxes

  • Do the dishes

  • Put fragile items in a safe spot where they can’t be accidentally broken

  • Keep pets away from cleaning areas

While a biohazard cleanup sounds like a scary process, knowing what to expect can help ease your concerns and set you up for success. It’s good to note that more than one professional might be needed depending on your situation, but that will be determined during the assessment. What you can expect during a home biohazard cleanup is the following:

  • Assessment: The first step in this process is for a biohazard cleanup professional to assess the damage. They create a report that includes the biohazard safety level, the needed damage cleanup, and the time it should take to complete the project.

  • Setup: The cleanup professional prepares the site to prevent cross-contamination and reduce toxicity risk. This process can include tarping and creating decontamination zones.

  • Removal of surface contamination: Any contaminated materials are removed from the area, starting with large materials followed by small ones. The professional can assess any floor-related damage once everything is removed from the site.

  • Salvaging items: The biohazard cleanup professionals assess which items can be saved and which are contaminated beyond the point of saving. Those deemed unsafe will be disposed of immediately.

  • Waste disposal: The next step is carefully disposing of the hazardous waste. Your professional will place the contaminated items in specific containers to keep the contamination from spreading.

  • Disinfection: The house will be disinfected and odor-neutralized. Even more minor details, like light switches and bulbs, will be disinfected so that they do not recontaminate the area in the future.

  • Restoration: Once the decontamination is complete, the last step is to restore the home. This includes repairing the damage to flooring, walls, or even the home's foundation.

Yes, it’s also important to clean off the back of your fridge several times a year. Cleaning the condenser coils, in particular, will help extend the lifespan of your fridge to ensure that it runs efficiently. Cleaning the back of the fridge also allows you to check that all the lines and cords going to your fridge are in good working condition.
