The crew was professional, punctual, and highly skilled. They took the time to understand our vision, offered helpful suggestions, and delivered results that exceeded our expectations. For example, we mentioned that the area behind our garage frequently got muddy but we weren't ready to commit to installing sod in the area. They suggested mulch and it has worked so well these past few months and looks wonderful! Plus our dog rarely tracks mud into the house now. Our project was overseen by Jack and Martin who were fantastic and communicated with us throughout. The workmanship is flawless, and the attention to detail shows in every corner of the space. We've gotten so many compliments on it!"

Outdoor Contracting was founded in 1998 by a civil engineer who was professionally trained to design and manage multiple trades of work on large-scale projects. Upon realizing that the residential market lacked contractors with sufficient licensing and capabilities to perform large, multiple-trade projects (such backyard living areas) and complex projects (such as drainage remediation). He took his training and capabilities, hand-selected and developed a team of highly skilled tradesman, and began offering their services to select residential clientele that needed more than what a typical landscape contractor can provide and is qualified for. Outdoor Contracting is the only company of its kind: We offer more services and have more professional experience and credentials than any other company in the region. We are a company that truly focuses on quality over quantity by staying small and focusing on projects that best fit our niche in lieu of chasing every job that comes along so our clients can deal directly with the owner who uses his 25+ years of experience to provide them with their own personal, highly experienced field engineer and project manager. Such an unprecedented level of expertise and oversight allows us to offer our clients a lifetime warranty on our workmanship. If you have a project that is complex and/or requires multiple trades with the need to have a field engineer or project manager to ensure things are done correctly, then your choice is clear and simple. They know their stuff and did not cut corners. It was unbelievable how every step along the way was so well orchestrated. First, Chris Davis designed our raised patio with us where we were able to see the 3D images and give our input and make changes. We count ourselves very lucky to have had Jeremy Armstrong as our project manager. Every day he would let us know when he would be on site and asked if we had any questions or concerns. He was so knowledgeable and patient in answering any and all of our many questions. Because of him, everything was timed to perfection with the coming and going of materials. On top of that, Ishmael’s crew was outstanding! I can’t express how much it means to have a patio that is their work of art. They laboriously broke apart stones and stacked them to create beautiful columns and walls for our raised patio. To see how they meticulously measured everything and made sure the curves and pitch were perfect was incredible. Yes, we had the usual glitches, primarily with sub-contractors not showing up and bad weather. Throughout it all, Sean coordinated multiple tasks and- here's the great part- made absolutely sure we were totally happy with the end result. We ended up with an absolutely transformed kitchen that is a joy to cook in, or just hang out. He transformed our old, wooden back deck into a lovely stone patio with a boulder retaining wall and a beautiful waterfall feature. I will always have a warm spot in my heart for Masterbuilder Fellowship. They all impressed me with their integrity, follow-through, and especially their dedication to making changes that would enrich our life. A nice plus: they have a great network of contractors that they've worked with for years, so you can be assured that any outside work (like painting) will be top-notch. Love those guys!
