Chrissy walked me through an initial troubleshooting process. After that her team came out, partially disassembled the water feature, determined the cause of the problem, and fixed it. Very prompt and professional service. Couldn't have gone better.

The first seven years service was fine but after that, he would not return calls, got paid, and did not show up to do the work.

Dave and his team are top notch professionals. From Josh's enthusiasm to Carlos' artistic design, we were thoroughly pleased with both the process and results. Dave called every day (when he wasn't on site) to make sure everything was going according to our expectations. Most days he was here; this is an owner not afraid to roll up his sleeves and do the work himself. We ended up with a water feature better than we had hoped for, with absolutely beautiful landscaping and plants to top it off. We wouldn't hesitate to hire this team again, and I can't recommend them highly enough. Use this company for your custom water feature, be it a pond, stream, waterfall, fountain or any combination thereof. You won't regret it!

The pond stopped running within a few days of the "repair". Dave, who I believe is the owner, never sent anyone back to verify why the pond stopped running but just indicated it was an old pond. In addition, Dave was going to charge me additional cost for services without consideration for what I had already paid. Dave was non-responsive to my multiple requests for additional information or for support to correct the situation. My customer service experience was VERY unpleasant.

"Our records indicate that we advised Mrs. [Member Name Removed] that her pond need much more that a pump to operate correctly. With no filtration, it was likely the pump would clog in a very short time. She asked for an estimate of how much it would cost to bring the rest of her pond up to proper operating condition. We provided her with that information. When the pump did in fact clogg, Mrs. [Member Name Removed] was upset that we would not come an unclog the pump and was also not willing to have us make the necessary repairs needed to prevent this from happening again."

Dave was able to diagnose the cause of a leak in my pond simply and accurately based on photos I sent him and a a few simple tests he asked me to perform. Alex came out on schedule and repaired the leak, cleaned the pond and made a couple of other improvements in the setup of the pond. Outstanding work at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend Pondscapes.

Dave and his team were prompt and courteous and did a wonderful job rebuilding an entire pond that had been installed incorrectly by another service provider. In addition to installing the pond they put in plants and relandscaped around the pond. They carefully briefed me on what was done and how to go about maintaining the pond and provided written suggestions on additional plantings that I could do around the pond. They are providing two months of free maintenance to insure that the pond is working properly.

From the outset, we knew we were dealing with a professional company and crew.
They arrived on time on the date promised, started the work with earnest and finished the work on time. The pool - which was a mess when we purchased the house - is now a central feature of our backyard. The lights that were installed as well as the waterfall now look great and we are happy we chose POC.
Their pricing is a bit on the higher side, but you get what you pay for. In this case, we got superb service, professional crew and a great looking product.

I had it scheduled for the only day I would be home to monitor and talk with the workers. I called two times that week to confirm the appt. but no one ever called me back. Then they came a day early and left a message on my home recorder which I did not get since I was not home. They had my cell phone number too. I wanted to talk to them about where to put the old water since we have a french drain I wanted them to use and not let the water be poured out onto the lawn which is what I found when I got home. Needless to say I was not happy. Other then that, they did a very good job. I told the owner I was not happy with that and needed to verify if it was okay to come to someone's house a day early and just start working without permission.
The guys who did the job were very apologetic and worked hard to make the pond look like new. I am pleased with that.

Dave did an absolutely wonderful job. He created a work of art far exceeding our expectations, he even searched in his own woods for the perfect log to enhance the waterfall. The water feature looks like it has been there for ever and I look forward to landscaping around it. He was very professional and stayed until the project was finished.

The pond went in flawlessly. My husband is the "pond keeper" of this beautiful underwater garden and Dave was very patient with my husband in teaching him the ropes of managing our pond. Everything that Dave said would happen from the water plants to the control of the algae was right on target. Since our pond is new they have already come out to make sure everything in the pond was doing well and dead head some of the plants. We are getting a real education and I am sure our pond will be a success. My husband has already bought two little red ear sliders from the turtle shack!! We already. Have tadpoles, frogs and snails who just magically appeared! Our only regret is that we did not call Pondscapes sooner! Excellent job and Dave was a pleasure to work with.

We have a backyard water feature (pondless fountain) that was built in 2006. In 2008, we began having trouble with the pump. Due to the economy the original vendor had gone out of business and we hired a new company to come and work on the fountain. Between 2008 and 2011 we replaced the the pump twice. When the pump went out again in March this year we used Angie's List to find Pondscape. Dave came out and evaluated the situation. It seems that from the initial installation the incorrect pump had been used. He replaced the broken pump with the correct one and the fountain has been working great ever since. We wish we had found him to begin with because it would have saved us a lot of time and money.

"Unfortunately, we here this all too often. Please do your due diligence when selecting a water feature installation company. It could save you thousands of dollars. Check references of over 3 years. Most people like their pond or contractor the day the work is completed. If they still like them after 3 years, chances are the have returned phone calls after the initial visit or installation."

From start to finish, a great experience. Dave came and looked at the pond soon after I called him. He thought the pond construction was good, and even though we proposed changing the pump, said he thought that wasn't necessary: although it was not a pump he had worked with, he thought it would work fine with a good cleaning. We had originally planned to do the work in two stages. First, they would service the filter, and then, at the end of the season, they would come back and clean out the pond and rebuild the waterfall. They came and cleaned out the filter promptly. Unfortunately, after a few days, the filter began to run slowly again. They backwashed it a few times, but it just wouldn't keep running well. Dave thought this was because the pond drain was clogging, and thought cleaning the pond would fix the problem. So, we decided to go ahead an do the whole job. They quickly did the whole thing. (Except for the initial $70 deposit, they did not even ask for payment until everything was done to our satisfaction.) End result: a beautiful, fully functional pond (at last), with minimal stress on the fish and wildlife.
For more than five years, we have been looking for a pond contractor who understood what we wanted and needed for our pond, with little success. Dave and his team understood our view that our pond is both an attractive water feature and a habitat for fish and wildlife. Everything Pondscapes did was just right without needing handholding. They knew what they are doing, were fast and efficient, checked back to make sure it was working well, and rebuilt our waterfall to be lovely--including positioning plants in attractive and appropriate places.
As an example of how they worked with our views rather than their own, consider that when we explained our seasonal use of wildlife netting to protect against herons, they responded by providing an inexpensive and good solution rather than proposing big, invasive new structures (as other contractors had done).
