"I am the president of an HOA with 26 townhomes. One of the townhomes was having a leak issue. They came out and figured out where the problem was most likely and fixed it quickly. Our previous stucco repair company wanted to charge a lot more and fix an area that didn't even need fixing."

"Greg supervised my job - from the estimate right through the painting.  I chose Painting & Moore for their professional, Angie's List reviews and customer service.  They stand behind their work with a 5 year guarantee.  I did not find that with any other painting company that I obtained estimates from. I obtained my estimate six months ago but decided to wait until the spring to paint.
When I called Greg, he remembered my house and set up a date to paint my house.  The roof on my house is extremely steep and the first group of painters did not feel comfortable on it.  Greg cancelled the painting and we waited for another crew to become available.   I did not want painters (or anyone else!) who feels uncomfortable on my roof working there. I did not want an accident.  I was in complete agreement with Greg's decision to call in another crew.  A few days later, Saul and his crew began painting.  Both Saul and Greg met with me before the start to make sure we all agreed on the colors we were using as well as the scope of the work to be done.  I did not have the original paint colors for my house but wanted the same (or similar) colors.  Saul patiently went over the choices and helped me to select the colors.  Midway through I decided to get my wooden front door revarnished.  Saul did an amazing job.  It now looks better than it did when it was new.  He also helped me to choose the color for the iron railing around my porch and front stairs.  I was going to choose black because it looked black to me, but Saul thought it was more of a dark brown.  We discussed it.  Saul explained the brown and yellow tones of the stone and stucco on the front of my house and I decided to let him choose.  He chose a oil rubbed bronze - somewhat glossy with subtle metallic sheen.  I was shocked.  It looked amazing - much better than the original color (whatever that was) and was the best surprise of the whole job.
Everyone involved was extremely professional.  Greg kept in touch with me through the process.  He let me know when painting would begin, if weather would be a problem and any other scheduling issues. Saul kept me updated on the progress and went over areas that were painted to make sure I was happy with the results.  His crew cleaned up at the end of each day.  It was a pleasure to work with Painting & Moore.  I would recommend them to my friends and family and will call them again when I need my house painted.

Stucco questions, answered by experts

Masonry screws are the best option to be used on stucco. They’re thicker and made to penetrate harder surfaces like concrete and cinder blocks. Fluted masonry screws work the best because they create a stronger grasp thanks to the lines on their shafts. If you’re working on exterior stucco, use galvanized screws to prevent corrosion.

The best tape that works on stucco is the kind made explicitly for stucco surfaces. Look for tape that specifies stucco, masonry, or cement installations. The adhesive usually needs to be thicker and more durable to remain stuck to these rough surfaces.

The cost of a repair depends on several factors, including the severity, complexity, and type of damage. Other key elements are the cost of any necessary replacement parts, hardware, materials, or required software updates. Labor rates and whether emergency service is needed will also influence the final price.

Yes, using natural additives and methods that lower impact.

Choosing between traditional and synthetic stucco depends on your specific needs, budget, and climate. Both options are durable, but synthetic stucco includes an extra layer that makes it more resistant to cracking and a better choice for climates with extreme weather. In hot, dry climates with less rainfall, traditional stucco is a suitable and more affordable option that is less likely to trap moisture. Synthetic stucco also offers more color options and requires less maintenance.
