We recently hired Valentine Painting to paint the exterior of our home. The house is 30+ years old and is two stories with cedar siding. I reached out to several companies for quotes on the job. All of the people who came out would do a quick walk around the house with me, observing what was needed, but making few or no notes. The one exception to this was Jim Valentine. Jim walked around our house several times taking pictures and videos with his phone and making extensive, detailed notes on everything that needed to be done. When he was done, I felt confident that there would be little or no unforeseen "surprises" once the job got underway--which proved to be true. To be honest, there were a couple of bids that came in slightly under his, but I got a strong impression that Valentine Painting would do a superior job. In retrospect, I think this impression was correct. Carpentry work was needed for the following items: replacements of cracked and damaged siding, repairs to an exterior door and its frame, and the complete replacement of our front door and frame. Valentine sent two carpenters out and within two days they had completed the extensive repairs and done all of the prep work for painting. Next a crew of 6 or 7 painters came out and applied two coats of paint to all of the walls, trim, doors, windows and shutters. Within three days they had completed the work and had done an excellent job. Both Jim and his crew were a pleasure to work with. The crew was very professional, conscientious and very friendly. All of the members of the crew worked hard and seemed to take a lot of pride in their work. All of the crew worked well together and seemed to be happy, which usually indicates that they like the company they are working for and are treated well. (This is an important factor for me.) When they were done, they did a very good job of cleaning up after themselves. I've been sitting here trying to think of any negatives to report, but there honestly are not any. But most of all, the house looks great now! I've actually had several times when I'm out in my front yard and neighbors I've never met that are passing by have stopped to tell me how good it looks. The overall experience with Valentine Painting was pleasant and impressive! So, yeah...I can recommend them strongly!

As far as I'm concerned, this project was a success. I can't say enough about how pleased I am with the work of Valentine Painting. Jim toured my property with me and as I pointed out my requirements, he provided recommendations, and eventually quoted a fair price. They painted the exterior of my home, as well as my bar-b-que grill. His team exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend them to anyone seeking to start a project.

They did a fantastic job! We have a screened porch and an open deck. They removed all the screens, stained everything then put screens back on. Nothing was missed. We are very pleased!

This is the third time I have hired Valentine Painting. Their work is impeccable and each employee is professional and efficient! Furthermore, they leave all work areas in pristine condition. The owner, Jim Valentine, personally inspects all work so quality control is top notch. My kitchen cabinets look brand new as do the master bath cabinets, trim, ceiling and walls. I can recommend them unequivocally and will use them again for any future projects.

Have never had work done by people who cared so much about the end result; went the extra mile multiple times to ensure the finished product was the best possible.
