A Touch of a Brush

This review is long overdue. Earlier in the year, i was looking for a company to paint the exterior of my historic 1880s home. A home that had been painted just a few years earlier by an individual that passed himself off as a painting contracting company. Letâ s just say they butchered the job and became non responsive to requests to make it right. Then came the good. I was fortunate to find Albert Salazar and his talented crew at A Touch of A Brush. Albert came to present his estimate and I could tell immediately that this was someone who cared about the needs of the customer. The very detailed estimate spelled out every step that would be taken, the prep, the paint that would be used and, specifically what I could expect. That was just the beginning. Albertâ s crew showed up on time daily and did a total prep of the house. Where necessary, grinding down to the bare wood before beginning the prep coats. Our home has several two story Corinthian columns that unseen to the naked eye, had a lot of rot beneath the surface. Not to worry, Albertâ s woodworking guru carved out the rotten wood, hand turned replacement pieces and fitted leaving the fix unnoticeable. I guess this is a long-winded way of saying that I donâ t think you could find a better, more conscientious, dedicated individual than Albert Salazar at A Touch of a Brush and, his whole team is first class.

An absolutely wonderful experience working with Albert and his crew. We have over 5000 square-foot large historic house which needed exterior painting. I received a few estimates and Albert by far stood out as the best person to do the job. Indeed, he did an excellent job. He is very detail oriented, and like the old school professionals takes great pride in making sure that every detail is well taken care of. Will hire him in a heartbeat any day!

We were very pleased with A Touch of a Brush from the estimate to the finished product! We worked with Albert from start to finish. The first thing we liked was he was very detailed during the estimate process. We knew what he would do, the products they use, how they work and the time it takes. In addition, when the work was done they hit their estimate! We have found that most service providers these days give an estimate then come in 10-20% higher with some excuses for why it was higher. It was refreshing to have excellent service, excellent results and they hit their estimate!! That is almost unheard of these days. In addition, Albert and his crew are professional, courteous and very good at what they do! It was a pleasure working with them and we are very happy with the results! We would 100% recommend A Touch of a Brush to anyone looking to paint the exterior of their home, deck, etc. We will definitely use them again for future painting needs. If you are looking for a good crew that does what they say and does it well then give A Touch of A Brush a go!

Albert and his crew get the highest recommendation from me. Cannot overstate the quality and detail of work they put in on my full house exterior (stucco) painting. We spent a lot of time deciding on a painting contractor and itâ s nice to feel that we made the right decision. Quote was not the lowest, but it was very reasonable. In the end the quality of the work makes it a bargain. We have a difficult house to paint and they put meticulous care into every corner. A+

This is one of the best experiences I have had with a vendor,. The price was reasonable. The workmanship was excellent. They painted all my outdoor window trim, replaced 4 windows brick molding and repaired 4 widow panes with bondo. First they pressure washed the home. Albert was excellent to work with.

His works speaks for itself. A number of our new neighbors came to complement the work and to get his contact information for their own future projects. I highly recommend A Touch of a Brush. Albert and his team did everything they said plus more. They removed wallpaper that had been up for 30 years, put a coat of primer and two coats of paint. In addition, they put a clear coat on the door frames, stair rails, etc. It all looks beautiful. They completed everything in seven days. The team was very courteous and professional. They cleaned the work area everyday before they left.

Teresa H.s Reviews 1.0 star rating In June 2022, Albert and his team replaced a few cracked boards on my house and then repainted the entire exterior. Within 6 months one of the boards he replaced cracked & fell off. I contacted him 3 times. The first time was right after the incident, shortly after Christmas. He never responded. This was fine as it was Christmas. I contacted him a second time, 10 days later. No response. I just tried again yesterday and still nothing. Alberts team was wondering. Albert was super kind & very responsive when we initially hired him. I even recommended Albert to my friends so this current behavior is very perplexing. Now I can no longer recommend him. We paid him over $8000 to repair and paint our house. The work did not even hold up for 6 months. On top of that, he ignored 3 separate patient requests please contact me. I am beyond disappointed.

Completed quickly & thoroughly

We had 7 rooms painted and they did a excellent, professional job. They scheduled to begin everyday at 8AM and they were outside 7:50AM. Their pricing was very competitive and we were sold when Albert came to the interview. The staff led by Co-owner Cynthia really delivered on service and workmanship. Truth be told we had given them a task we didnâ  t expect them to fulfill 100% because died to schedule with carpet company they came first BEFORE the painters. We told her and she gave us the surprised look quickly followed by we got you. Cynthiaâ  s staff did not get one drop of paint on the carpet! We will use them for the bathrooms next but we highly recommend them and have to our friends. Great work A Touch of a Brush!!!

This is an amazing company! We were so very pleased by the professional work this company did for us! They completed power washing of a 22 year old deck taking such care to produce a beautifully refinished deck! They applied a solid stain making the deck look brand new! They hand-cleaned gutters removing the natural build up that accumulates. This company repaired several areas needing replacement which included moldings around outside doorways and reconstructing a front banister which had water damage. A Touch of A Brush also completed indoor repairs of walls and provided touch-up painting. Everything they did was completed so beautifully and perfectly! The workers were professional and so diligent. Each one was so kind and caring and we enjoyed them being at our home! Each evening they always cleaned up completely before leaving and communicated their plan for the next day. We were so pleased with A Touch of A Brush ! We highly recommend this company!

We were under tight timeliness to repair wood rot and paint the trim on our house before putting it on the market. Albert is the owner, does all the carpentry work himself and has a very skilled crew of experienced painters. He was available and answered my calls and texts each and every time I called. We agreed on a start date, he confirmed a few days prior and started when he said he would, working over the weekend, mindful of weather forecast to stick to the schedule and get the work done on time. I really enjoyed working with and dealing with Albert and am so thankful I found him. I bid the work out and his prices were right in line, AND he includes 5 year warranty and power washing service. We had to work with him long distance and his availability, reliability and skillful painting was greatly appreciated. Our real estate agent checked on work progress, took lots of pictures for us, and we were able to offer Albert's warranty and pressure washing services to the buyers to help with closing negotiations. If only all contractor experiences were this smooth! Highly, highly recommend. Albert was just a great person to interact with.

Albert was very attentive and customer oriented. We had to adjust color and he had no issues. They replaced all the trim that was damaged by a wood pecker and even hung the new shutters. We are very satisfied. Manuel and Albert are awesome.

I hired Albert and his team because they came highly recommended from a neighbor and they do excellent work. They power washed my house, fence, driveway, and sidewalk! He recommended paint with new technology, and I took his recommendation. The second coat on the house is painted by hand with a brush. Included in the price is power washing once a year for the next five years! They are thorough and professional. I highly recommend A Touch of a Brush and will hire Albert and his team again for any painting needs.

Albert & crew went way above & beyond all our expectations. They did the house, deck, & shed. Painted , stained everything by hand, no spraying, Painted many things you wouldnt expect but added great value such as pipes on the roof, splash blocks, the house numbers, outside fixtures etc, checked & rechecked everything multiple times, did several walk arounds during the project. I will definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone.
