2012-2019 A.L. Super Service Award Winner! AQC uses the newest duct cleaning technology in the industry. We do NOT use rotobrush systems or homemade 50 gallon drum vacuums with makeshift hoses to shove down your lines. Those methods move the dirt around and tear up duct work. Also, if you see dirt around the vents during the cleaning process, contaminants are being brought back into the home. This happens with all other duct cleaning systems. We pride ourselves in air duct cleaning the correct way, not pushing the dirt around, but removing it and keeping it contained in our vacuum system and the ducts. We always offer free before and after photos so you see exactly what you're paying for. Our process uses suction and forced air simultaneously. We do not disconnect any lines or compromise your system. Our cleaning methods are above and beyond any air duct cleaners in the country. We are highly recommended by multiple heating and air companies in the area. Air Quality Concepts provides reliable and expert customer service for all of your duct cleaning needs, mold removal, vapor barriers, and dryer vent cleaning. You will breathe better and feel better knowing that your air system and your quality of life are greatly improved.

"If I could give it zero stars I would. Rude, unprofessional kids with a shop vac. They. Active. Dryer is now broken. Sketchy that the kids who came posed as Charles Edwards, the supposed owner. Did not feel safe. Do not recommend at all. New company came and agreed they did nothing and did damage to my dryer."

" His car was not marked. There was no indication that he was a business. There was no name on his car to identify him as a business when he pulled up. He did not have any business cars to give the customer. He came in, that does not cover his feet. He does not have anything professional about him. He don't have any tools to repair anything. He charged me $45 with no intention of repairing anything through my house. Why are you coming in people's houses and disrespect their carpet in the cleanliness of their house, don't you supposed to put on some shoe covers or something? Why do you leave me with a broken air condition for 6 days? "

"Blaze acquired Comfort Master, the company that originally installed my HVAC unit 8 years ago. So, I hired them for an annual inspection. They told me the heat exchange unit was cracked and needed to be replaced. The part was still under warranty. They quoted me a price of $2,600 for the labor. I asked how long the job would take and the tech said 3-5 hours. That is $650/hour! I told them I would get someone else to look at it. I then said I needed a thermostat installed and I had the item. They quoted me $500 for a 15 minute job to hook it up. These prices were absolutely crazy to me. The second company I brought in agreed the heat exchanger was cracked and said it was probably due to improper installation. Before he left, the tech told me about a plan for $349/year for an annual inspection of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. I agreed to buy that, as that was a good deal versus what you would normally pay for all 3 separately. A few weeks later they sent a tech over for the electrical inspection. I started getting concerned after he told me 4 times how frugal he was personally. I was right. He gave me a list of things that needed fixing totaling over $10,000. I then contacted my regular electrician and gave him the list. He recommended only 2 items on it costing under $500. Be very wary of Blaze, they gouge and do unnecessary work."

Air Duct Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Furnace maintenance is crucial to keeping your home warm in the colder months. In addition, it's always best to read your furnace manual for additional information on necessary maintenance to extend its lifespan. Some ways to maintain your furnace include:

  • Check and change air filters regularly

  • Inspect the exhaust pipe

  • Ensure the furnace is well-ventilated

  • Reduce your home's heating needs

  • Open all vents

  • Inspect your furnace for unusual sounds or smells

  • Clean vents and ductwork

Although it’s not required, air ventilation in a finished basement can help improve the air quality, prevent moisture and mold issues, keep musty odors away, and also maintain the air quality throughout the rest of your home. Proper ventilation will help maintain the value of your investment in finishing your basement. Try basement ventilation methods like installing vents or a dehumidifier for best results.

While your forced heating system runs, it can pick up dirt, dust, hair, and other particles from inside your house. Changing your furnace filters regularly is key to preventing this debris from getting stuck in your ducts and swirling around your home. With some types of furnaces, there’s also the potential for carbon monoxide leaks. However, staying up-to-date with your HVAC inspections and installing carbon monoxide sensors can help mitigate this risk.

To lower your home’s humidity level overnight, you can open your windows when the air is less damp. This tactic allows air to circulate around the window, preventing condensation from forming. However, you should consider the disadvantages of leaving your windows open overnight, including safety risks and pest intrusions.

Air ducts should be cleaned every three to five years, though the frequency can vary based on factors such as household conditions and local environmental factors. For homes with pets, smokers, or high dust levels, more frequent cleanings every two to three years would be necessary to maintain optimal air quality. If you notice persistent odors, significant dust buildup, or signs of mold or rodent activity, schedule a cleaning sooner.
