"One oven doesn't work at all ( my choice, see above), the "working" oven was never calibrated properly so using it is hit or miss. It's time to call American Home Shield to see about replacing the entire unit. I'm waiting to finish other home projects before calling them. I don't know if I'll request Greenway again."

The best way to kill off an algae bloom in an aboveground pool is to shock it with a large dose of chlorine. Shock typically kills off algae in about one to three days, although it can take longer if the pool water is in poor condition. After the shock treatment, add algaecide to prevent algae from growing back, and test the water every few days with test strips to ensure the pool’s pH doesn’t get out of whack.

Pools and pool equipment tend to go on sale in the fall to make room for the next year’s inventory. That means if you’re looking for the lowest cost to install a pool in your outdoor space, you should start looking in the fall rather than the summer. You’ll save money and be ready to dive in during the warm months next year. 

Completely refreshing the water in an aboveground pool every five to seven years helps keep it free of bacteria and algae. Emptying the pool also allows you to clean, repair, or replace the pool liner. Schedule your water change when the weather is mild, as intense heat or cold can damage the pool liner when the pool is empty.

Generally, you do not need to drain your pool to convert it to a saltwater system. The main exception is if you have used an antibacterial agent containing polyhexamethylene biguanide to sanitize your pool, as these sanitation products do not mix well with saltwater systems. If this is the case, you will need to start fresh. You can either drain the pool or treat the existing water with a high dose of chlorine to remove the antibacterial agent. If you choose the chlorine treatment, wait several days to allow the chlorine to work before proceeding with the conversion. How often you should add water to your pool depends on how quickly the water evaporates. Keep an eye on your skimmer box, if you have one. Top up the water in your pool if you notice the water levels are lower than the bottom third of your skimmer. This helps prevent damage to your pump. 

Replace all the water in your pool every five to seven years, depending on how often you use your pool, the weather, and whether or not you close your pool for the winter.
