"Hamado is a rare find for a contractor. He is honest, thorough, and leaves the repair looking as if the damage never happened. I am a single female homeowner who stepped on a ceiling panel while changing out my insulation in the attic. The long side of a whole panel popped open. The panel needed to be drilled into the joists again and popcorn ceiling reapplied. Oh my Lord did other contractors try to take me for a ride...everything up to my whole ceiling needing to be replaced. Hamado was respectful (no contractor theatrics that my house needed to be replaced), assessed the damage fairly, and gave me a unbelievable fair quote. He showed up on time on the workday and made the ceiling look as if I never stepped on it. Beautiful work. And Angela who handled his quotes and booking with me was a total professional. "I live in Florida an own a rental property in Rochester NY. Needed some one to diagnose a give a estimate to find a kitchen ceiling leak. He had to come twice as Tenant was a no show 1st time, He came again found the source of the leak (a leaky faucet in upstairs Bath). Gave a fair estimate an repaired the ceiling an replaced faucet. "Jason did an amazing job with our project. We live on the sound and kill Devil Hills and our insurance company requested. We replace some of the cedar shingles due to wind/rain damage. He worked with us on the quote and was able to accomplish the job in a timely manner. We appreciated him sending pictures as he worked to keep us updated on the progress. This is a second home for us so we were not on site but communication was very easy with him. Highly recommend."

Technically speaking, you can use drywall primer over plasters. However, oil-based primers work the most effectively on wall plasters. Meanwhile, water-based primers work just as well with drywalls. Nowadays, there are also universal primers suitable for drywall and plaster. Overall, you will be fine as long as you are using a trustworthy brand.

This depends on how much plaster is applied and in how many layers, but a decent estimate is around 150 square feet. If you are applying only two coats on a small wall, there is a chance you may only need one or two gallons for the entire project. If you are plastering a large living room wall with high ceilings, using one of the more involved techniques–like Scagliola–that requires several coats, expect the project materials costs to add up quickly.

For cracks wider than 0.5 cm, structural repair is needed. If a crack is 2.5 cm (1 inch) or wider, or if you notice any signs of a structural problem, it is best to contact a plaster repair professional to assess the damage.
