"Wonderful experience. Ken are doing on time and went right to work changing out several worn out switches and some minor re-wiring. Great customer service - Ken did not have a part that he needed so he went to Lowes, was back in 15 minutes and completed the work. I would recommend Gowdy for your electric needs.

"We have used Justin for a number of our indoor and outdoor wiring and electrical projects over the years.
His work is great, he is reliable and stands behind his work. Any follow up and return visits are not a problem.
Last year we were working on a big project in the backyard, building an outdoor kitchen, patio and entertainment area. We did not exactly know what we wanted to do from an electrical and lighting perspective. We met with Justin and went over the plans. He had some suggestions and ideas as well as recommendations and reliable knowledge of the code. With his help we put together a plan. Justin came several times to do the installation in stages as our construction project progressed.
We are very happy with the outcome.

"Evans Electric was very responsive, which is becoming rare for most service providers. We had a 61 yo fuse panel that was a fire hazard and was replaced with a circuit breaker panel. Matt was quick to provide a quote and scheduled the service for the same week. He came on time and finished the job much quicker than we expected. Definitely five star service."

"These guys are the best! I had an EV charger installed and their bid beat the competition by $1k. They arrived when they said they would. They were respectful of our property and our time. There was great communication throughout. And their work was outstanding! The city inspector took five minutes, basically said "these guys obviously knew what they were doing," and he immediately signed off on the work. And Joe, our electrician, is friendly, creative, and efficient-- a real pro! I will definitely use Mr. Electric for all of our future electrical needs!"

Electrical questions, answered by experts

Concord’s humid summers and frequent thunderstorms require homeowners to prioritize moisture-resistant wiring and robust surge protection. Seasonal storms can challenge outdoor electrical installations, making proper grounding essential. The region’s clay soil impacts grounding effectiveness, so extra care is needed. Scheduling electrical projects during Concord’s milder fall or spring months helps avoid weather-related delays and ensures safer, more efficient work.

Helpful?

When hiring an electrician in Concord, confirm they have experience with both historic and newer homes, as local construction varies widely. Ensure they carry current insurance, understand Concord’s permitting process, and have positive local reviews. It’s also wise to ask about their approach to electrical safety upgrades and how they handle communication during projects, especially during Concord’s storm season when prompt service is crucial.

Helpful?

Homeowners in Concord should factor in neighborhood HOA restrictions, historic district guidelines, and the need to coordinate with utility companies for major electrical upgrades. Always check for underground lines before digging to prevent service disruptions. With Concord’s rapid growth, contractor availability may be limited, so plan ahead. Consider the impact of clay soil on grounding and think about integrating smart home features to future-proof your investment.

Helpful?

Electrical upgrades in Concord deliver immediate improvements in home safety, energy efficiency, and reliability for modern appliances. Over the long term, you’ll benefit from enhanced property value, reduced risk of electrical fires, and fewer unexpected outages. Modernizing your system also supports future technology needs, such as home automation, and can make your home more attractive in Concord’s active real estate market.

Helpful?

In Concord, homeowners often overlook the importance of proper circuit mapping and fail to upgrade outdated panels, which can compromise electrical safety. Skipping required inspections, mismatching breaker sizes, and using non-weatherproof materials in damp areas are also frequent errors. Not accounting for Concord’s frequent storms when installing surge protection or neglecting to label new circuits can create long-term hazards and future confusion.
