    Overall it went well. We had some scheduling delays. Once each 'team' got here, they worked quickly to get their part completed. The one critique I will give is they are good at what they do but should care more about the client/client property. Anthony & Sylvan Pools always promise to make it right. We're happy now that we finally have our pool. At the end of the day we would hire them again and recommend them to others

    My husband and I have thought about putting in a pool for years. We met with several companies in the area, but never had a good feeling about them. We had heard enough of other people’s bad experiences to make us distrustful of slick salespeople, fancy drawings with hidden costs, and neglectful sub-contractors. We were almost ready to give up when I found True North Pools. From the beginning, I was impressed with Mike’s honesty, experience and pragmatism. His designer presented a beautiful drawing that creatively addressed every one of our wish list items and helped us find ways to bring it within our budget. It was not the least expensive proposal, but it was by far the best value – including beautiful touches like pebble finish and flagstone coping that were upgrades elsewhere. When construction began, Mike oversaw every phase himself, and communicated with us regularly. As newcomers to the process, I feel like we were constantly texting him questions, and he patiently responded to every one. When we requested minor changes in the design (adding decking, etc.), he made it happen and had good practical suggestions to keep costs minimal. I cannot say enough good things about every crew that he sent to our house. Their work ethic and expertise was incredible to watch. They arrived early and worked hard with little to no breaks in all kinds of conditions, including digging the pool when it was snowing! Each crew was professional and conscientious, and they delivered impeccable results. It was fascinating to watch the pool take shape over about 12 weeks and be able to appreciate all of the care and effort that goes into it. I think it makes me love the finished product even more! I am very grateful to Mike and True North Pools for making it such a great experience start-to-finish

    Superior Pools was my choice for building my dream pool for my family. After extensive research and having 5 pool companies at my home Superior Pools earned the right to build my pool and spa. The quality of the equipment is the heart of the pool. Superior only uses Jandy equipment and puts top of the line filters, pumps, valves and heaters. Add the superior automation of the IAqua link system and no other pool builder comes close. I highly recommend to go to Jandy's website and learn about their products. The workmanship of my equipment pad is a 10. When gathering quotes from other pool companies the mix and match of equipment and quality of the brands was not to par on what Superior had to offer. You combine this with their warranty and the clear winner was Superior. Then the customer service they provide exceeds all expectations. From the owner Peter to the installers that built my dream pool all were listening, educating and caring to my many questions I asked of them. Superior wants to build their customers a top quality pool at a fair price. They want to make sure the customer is happy and build on those relationships. I highly recommend if looking for a pool do your research on the equipment Superior Pools uses. Combine that with the service and experience Superior Pools has to offer and it made my decision very easy. Peter and his team exceeded all my expectations

    I rated this company with one star on 10/12/21. about a week after I posted the review, I was contacted by the owner of the company to arrange to show me invoices from our second day of digging to verify how much it really cost compared to what we were charged. He told me that I would have them today and as of yet I have not received them, but I did tell him that I would remove my negative review until today. I cannot seem to remove a review on Angie's list for some reason, so I am providing another one to balance it out. I still hope to receive documentation of where the almost 15,000 extra we were charged went, but I am going to uphold my end of the deal with this updated review. I still question what Peter's definition of "trust worthy" is, but the pool itself does look nice. We are awaiting someone to come look at some of the travertine that has become uneven and started to crack, which is why I am only giving 3 stars at this point. Would hire agin with the * that anyone signing a contract wth them get a clause that they will not be charged more than a certain amount of any problems are encountered during initial day and that owner is given 48 hours to decide on extra expense without any delay in their construction process

    Chris and his wife were pleasant to work with and got to my job within a reasonable amount of time considering how busy they are. While the stumps are gone and the area is graded, I am disappointed. To be fair, I signed a waiver of damages in the contract for "things that are beyond our control." I don’t think the damages they caused were beyond their control. At the start of the project, I pointed out an irrigation sprinkler and valve box near my driveway and in close proximity to some of the stumps to be removed, and the fact that I had an invisible fence wire close to the project. Chris said he would try to avoid the wire but I said I would fix it if it broke. Chris worked very quickly, probably from years of experience but in retrospect, if he had gone a slower, he could have avoided a lot of the damage. Upon completion, I had a broken pipe where his machine ran over the valve cover and crushed the pipe below. There were tread marks over the area so I know it was the machine. I had a crepe myrtle that was run into that damaged two of the three trunks. I had an irrigation pipe outside of the work area that was broken in two places. I had a concrete cover to our septic tank run over and broken, again, beyond the work area. Finally, in moving the large dumpster with his Bobcat, he scraped it along my driveway causing damage to the lawn and driveway. The dumpster's wheels did not turn and were flattened on the bottom because of it. It was dragged rather than rolled down my driveway. While damage might be inevitable with this type of work, after pointing out the irrigation valve, I would have expected him to remain clear of it. No markers or warning flags, cones, etc, were placed as a reminder that it was there. There was a gentleman working with Chris from the sidelines. He was usually on his cell phone, but helped with cleanup and helping with odds and ends. If he had been used as a "guard" for this valve while on the sidelines, this could have been avoided. I called and emailed in regards to my issues. The phone calls and emails were professional but insistent that they were not responsible. Even when I asked them to reconsider only the damages to the irrigation valve, I received the same reply. Because of the nature of my irrigation system, I have been unable to do any irrigation at all on my property because of this leak and the irrigation repair company could not come out for two weeks, which meant no irrigation for a long period of time. While their company met the letter of the agreement, I would not hire them again because of all the damage done and the fact that they would not meet me half way on some of the repairs. I had hoped to use their company in the future when the site is prepared for a building foundation, but that is no longer a possibility

    If you are considering a pool, you need to consider Superior Pools! We interviewed 5 different companies and once we spoke with Peter Johnson, we knew we had found our pool company. We have a challenging lot with serious water runoff issues; the moment Peter walked in the backyard, he said he knew exactly what to do and he did. The other companies had lists of things we needed to do prior to them starting work on a pool, Peter made water control part of the design and created a lovely backdrop for the pool and a larger deck where we wanted it....simply brilliant! Our site foreman, Ian MacCormack, was responsive and calming with all of the concerns of a newbie to the pool construction experience. He stood behind his word and did not stop until he was sure we were beyond happy. When Ian was not available, Jon always stepped up to make sure we were informed and aware of what was going on. Ian and Jon both added suggestions along the way of features we may want to add that added to the beauty and ease of care. Other Superior folks to mention are Kathy Giannuzzi for her great color and design input and Dan Jones for helping us learn how to take care of our gorgeous pool.
