"We bought a new house that had no landscaping in the front of the house and the grass was not doing well. Carolina Creations came in and completely redid our whole front landscape - new plants and grass. I love the plants Ricky chose. He is very knowledgeable about what will work and look good now and years down the road. They also installed a patio surrounded by a retaining wall in the back which we also really love!"

"I have used Always Green for over 2 years. Being new to the area, finding them on Angie’s List was the way to go. They have been so helpful throughout our time in the house and provided good recommendations for care and landscape. I would use them again if we were staying in the area."

Customers say: True professional

"Douglas Trotter showed up early to check out the project and he was very warm and knowledgeable about the project he was going to do! He measured the area and said that he would get back to me with a quote on the job which he did. He showed up on time for the project and went to work. He completed the job on yesterday despite all the rain that we had. My wife and I are truly happy with the results of the project. We would recommend him to do another job!"

Small jobs welcome

"Darryl of Lane Pro and his crew did an excellent job removing old bushes and planting new ones in our back yard. He and his team were very punctual, efficient, and cleaned up the area after the job was completed. We would highly recommend them for any landscaping needs. John and Linda Bateson"

"We have used James and his team for many years. Jobs completed included landscaping , rock wall structures, rock walkways , and beautiful lighting that not only lights pathways but highlights stone structures as well . He keeps a clean job site, is always prompt, and reasonably priced. Look forward to many more projects in the future !"

Landscaping questions, answered by experts

It depends. Smaller, younger trees take longer to mature, but they're more resilient, their roots don't get as damaged during transplanting, and they recover faster. Plus, they're much more affordable to plant, and it's possible to DIY the planting.

On the other hand, mature trees produce fruit faster and provide more shade and privacy immediately. Ideally, a small or medium tree is the better choice if you can wait a few years for it to mature. But if you need immediate maturity, a larger tree is the only option.

How much 4 yards of dirt will cover depends on how deep you want the soil to be. In general, a yard of dirt will cover 324 square feet for a 1-inch depth or 100 square feet for a 3-inch depth. Therefore, you can expect 4 yards to cover between 400 and 1,296 square feet if you keep your soil depth between 1 and 3 inches.

Yes, such as sod installation and erosion control for comprehensive site improvement.

Multiple rules of thumb exist when discussing tree planting. When planting a tree, the best rule of thumb is to provide it with everything it needs to survive and thrive in its new environment. That may mean learning about the type of tree you're planting and studying the best methods of taking care of it before purchasing and planting.

The best place to plant a rose bush is where it will be happiest. Growing roses is difficult if the location varies much from what the plants like. Choose a location that gets at least six hours of direct sunlight during the growing season but not much more than that in hot-climate locations. If such a spot doesn't exist in your yard, consider planting your rose in a movable container to take advantage of portability.
