They worked despite rainy conditions, setting up tents and making the best of it. The deck turned out beautifully - the materials and workmanship are high grade. The patio was built about month later due to the rainy ground conditions during that time of year. It turned out beautiful as well. They also built a new porch rail on my front porch and added an enclosure around my A/C unit in the back yard. Everything was left unfinished and my husband and I stained it ourselves. It thought it looked great before it was stained, but now I just love it - I get compliments on the deck and patio from everyone who visits. I would highly recommend Deck Specialist if you need work done. They are flexible, knowledgable and well priced. I usually stay right with vendors and have to speak up to repeat how I want things done. But these guys exceeded my expectations, sequencing the work, performing the work and cleaning up after the work as if they were reading my mind. And they cheerfully did a bit extra when asked. Specifically: Vendor was very responsive and accommodating on timing of work. It was a great crew of 4 men, all of whom listened and retained the work scope and special requests. They have excellent, safe equipment to cut large trees. They have excellent skills and techniques. Because they work together on many/all jobs, the crew knew their roles, worked efficiently in a coordinated fashion. They have superior clean up service (blew debris off roof, re-graded areas where fallen logs and equipment effected land, raked and swept, sifted gravel driveway to clean it of mud and mulch, powerwashed the concrete, etc)
