Recent Land Surveyors Reviews in Chapel Hill
Boundary Zone Inc

I needed interval stakes to identify the property line for a fence project. I called three surveyors and Boundary Zone was the only one to respond. When I was looking for companies, I noted others with the same comment. I described my need and he explained what I needed based on my plot information. I agreed to the price and the job was completed within a week. An email came shortly after with a link to pay through PayPal - very convenient

Matt is responsive, thorough, hard working, courteous, very fair price, and knows his trade & profession very well. I am a new builder contractor to the Chatham County, NC area and we will definitely use Matt Rowles in the future. The project is for a New Construction requiring site plan, marking footings, and corners for foundation

Matt had good reviews on the list so we called him after calling a couple who were closer. We orginally spoke to someone who said they would get back to us and they never did. so the next day we called Matt. He picked the phone up himself and was very courteous, and knowledgeable. Funny thing...while we were on the phone with Matt the other person called back.Too late! We wanted to get going with this project and we were impressed that Matt was right on the ball! We made an appointment for Matt to come to the house two days later. He showed up on time, was extremely thorough and took his time making sure that the boundries were correct. He explained everything as he went along. We were very impressed with Matt and his pricing was more than fair. Wish he could just build the fence for us too

Danny was wonderful. He walked both my husband and I around the property explaining the property boundaries. With a lot the size of ours, with set backs etc. it can get complicated. Also, we are new to the home and we did not get a survey for some reason. To complicate matters the previous owners still own the lot adjoining, so we wanted to ensure the fence was in the correct place. The fence will cover over an acre, so we do not want to move it in the future...that is why we called Danny. Danny took the time until about 6:30 making sure we understood our property. I highly recommend him to anyone. He is very conscientious, hardworking and I thought reasonably priced....he spent at least 4 hours at our home

James was very responsive (when no one else responded to our calls). Work was completed within a week of our initial call and his price was very reasonable. After he completed his work, he took the time to show my wife where all the property corners were located, which he had marked with pink tape.

The surveyor was prompt in coming out and managed to squeeze the work in between rain showers which kept our fence install on schedule. He quickly marked the boundaries including a couple other stakes I requested to help get the fence exactly where I wanted it. He also took the time to answer my questions and wasn't in a rush to leave even with storm clouds moving in

This is a revision of an earlier report that I had written. I had initially been disappointed after contacting Boundary Zone via their web contact form, and receiving no response. However, once Chris became aware of the error he clearly tried very hard to remedy the situation. Chris helped me in a number of ways by: 1. Offering me a substantial discount on the survey due to the miscommunication, 2. Explaining the survey process to me very clearly since this is the first property I have purchased, and 3. Making a large effort to squeeze the survey into our short remaining timeframe before we closed on the home. Cory met me at the property, and did an excellent job of marking the boundaries, explaining to me where the property lines ran, and helping me decide where I wanted to have the extra stakes. Overall I am very satisfied with the services provided by Boundary Zone, and I will likely use them in the future if I need another property to be surveyed. I can tell that they do genuinely care about their customers' satisfaction, which is not always something you find these days

Extremely pleased. Professional & timely. I have had my property boundaries surveyed before. This is the first time the surveyor found all of the original metal boundary stakes, and also took the time to walk the boundary with me and explain the boundaries and easements. Highly recommend for any residential work

Boundary Zone sent someone out on just one day's notice to survey two of my property lines the day before fence construction was scheduled. I had been told that no survey would be necessary, because I had a map from a previous survey. However, I had second thoughts at the last minute and decided I needed to have the lines marked, to be safe. I called many surveyors before finding one who would do a survey on such short notice, so that I would not have to reschedule construction. On the day of construction, the fence company agreed that it would not be possible to build a fence on that side of the property after all, based on the new markers, because of trees that were too close to the line. I was very happy with Boundary Zone's fast service, promptness, and professionalism

Mr. Rowles came out on a Saturday to complete a request for my property to be surveyed. He clearly a marked all four corners of the property line as well as in between to show all lines on the property. I suspected my neighbors were encroaching on the property with their fence. Mr. Rowles was approached by the neighbors inquiry of what he was doing. He responded professionally to their no so nice attitude and completed the job as requested. Afterwards we spoke via telephone on exactly what he discovered from the survey. He also sent a notarized copy of the survey. He did and excellent job and I will recommend him anyone who needs this type of service

"He did a great job. He was here that morning and when he had completed the job he walked the property w me and staked out the property lines. I hired the company bc my neighbor behind me tried to say her property actually went 5 ft. beyond the fence she had put years ago. I was putting a privacy fence in place & she would no longer be able to see my roses or be nosy. Lol Well turns out she was wrong & my property line was much larger than I thought. Worth every penny. Fence going in next week!
"Excellent communications. Came on day and time as promised. Encountered hardships finding original surveyor stakes due to tree roots overgrown. Professional attitude and demeanor. Prefers small projects as opposed to big housing developments."

"I was not living there, and they were accomodating enough to show up when I could not be there, and do the work. All lines were clearly marked and let me know where the property lines really were on the property I had just purchased."

"We have 2 issues and needed to know property lines. I contacted them directly through Angie's list and got a call 15 minutes later. He said he likes to give Angie list members priority.
