"Showed up on time. was through and very efficient. Have had couple of other plumbers come out & none could ever figure out why kitchen sink was continuously clogging up. Josh with DB plumbing solved an issue I've been dealing with for the 10 years I've lived here. It turned out to be a vent in the pipe. Was very impressed."

"Overall, I was very pleased with the work Lee and Kevin had done. Firstly, Lee came over to inspect and subsequently follow-up with a quote. Lee was thorough in his approach by taking pictures and recording his description of the problem.
Kevin arrived promptly on the scheduled day and time that the work was to be completed.
After cutting out a 2' x 2' patch of drywall  to ascertain the leak, it took several troubleshooting steps to identify the location of the leak. It was not in the P trap as initially thought. Once identified, Kevin fixed the leak in the upstairs bathroom, patched the hole, painted, and thoroughly cleaned up.

"Joe from JMS Drain Services was my service technician who arrived well within the window scheduled service time. Joe came in, inspected the sink to determine how to resolve my issue, took out the tool (snake apparatus) to clear the sink, and departed my premises within 15 minutes. I was pleased he resolved my clogged sink so quickly so I could rest after a night's work. Thank you again, Joe."

Drain Cleaning questions, answered by experts

The spin cycle on your washer should initiate draining, but if you still find leftover water in the washing machine tub, you may need to drain it manually. To manually drain a washing machine, you’ll need to turn off the power supply and locate the drain hose, filter, and pump. Open or disconnect these parts and let the water drain into a bucket.

Yes, you can use hydrogen peroxide to unclog a drain. Instead of using a baking soda and vinegar solution, you can use baking soda with hydrogen peroxide. The process to unclog a drain is the same as with vinegar, but use 1 cup of hydrogen peroxide instead.

A clogged sewer line is not typically covered by homeowner’s insurance, though some sewer line issues are covered. For instance, damage related to a fallen tree is usually covered. Though sewer line replacement is not covered in a standard insurance policy, some companies offer add-ons for this purpose. Read the fine print before spending your own money.

Most clogs are resolved quickly, often within an hour. More complex issues requiring pipe disassembly might take longer.

If you're dealing with a clogged sink drain, you may be able to avoid removing the drain by using a plunger to dislodge the clog. While we associate plungers with toilets, they can do the same job with your sink drain. Be gentle, though, as forceful movements can push clogs further into your plumbing system and make them more difficult to remove. Additionally, make sure you’re using a sink plunger—with a flat bottom—and not a toilet plunger—which has a smaller bottom protruding from the larger flat piece.
