"Job was reviewed, estimate/quote was made. Estimate cost was considered a little too hi, so removed a couple items wanting done. Lead estimator was informed of new HVAC installation, but did not suggest replacement of outside disconnect with extension until called back after HVAC contractor required it to be completed. Learned later this is normally completed and should have been explored & suggested when evaluation for job was discussed. Electric company came back out immediately and corrected the situation, but cannot help but believe this additional trip and effort cost a little bit more then necessary."
"I have a lot of experience in electricity-related areas so I am quite demanding and critical. Each time I have called Buckingham, scheduling was prompt and the techs were knowledgeable, accommodating and thorough. They arrived on time and in the most recent case came back quickly to resolve an issue that was not clearly their responsibility. I really like dealing with these pros and will recommend them to my neighbors."
"He was on time! Also, he called several days prior to the appointment so we could go over the job requirements. This gave him an idea of what materials were needed. He was extremely professional. He did exactly what I needed done both in my shop and outdoor work. I will be calling Bluegrass Electrical all future electrical projects!!!!"

The longevity of electrical work in Brevard depends on using weather-resistant materials, proper moisture management, and strict code compliance. Reliable grounding is crucial due to frequent lightning, and surge protection adds long-term security. Choosing a local electrical contractor who understands Brevard’s mountain climate and older home wiring ensures your installation is durable, safe, and meets all local requirements for lasting performance.
Helpful?
Electrical projects in Brevard must account for high humidity, heavy rainfall, and frequent storms, which require moisture-resistant wiring and robust grounding. Ice storms and power outages make generator installation and surge protection especially important. Outdoor electrical work should use weatherproof materials. Planning major projects in spring or early summer helps avoid winter delays and ensures your home’s electrical system is prepared for Brevard’s climate.

If your Brevard home experiences frequent breaker trips, flickering lights during storms, burning smells from outlets, or mostly two-prong outlets, it’s time to call an electrical contractor. Schedule projects before winter’s ice storms or if you’re upgrading for rental use. Addressing these issues early helps ensure your home wiring is safe and reliable for Brevard’s changing weather and seasonal demands.
Helpful?
In Brevard, small electrical projects like installing outlets or replacing switches typically take 2–4 hours, while panel upgrades or adding new circuits often require 1–3 days. Whole house rewiring can take 3–7 days, and generator installation usually needs 1–2 days. Brevard’s older home wiring and mountainous landscape may extend timelines, so hiring a local electrical contractor familiar with these conditions is essential.
Helpful?
In Brevard, repeated breaker trips, sparking outlets, dimming lights, or buzzing electrical panels usually indicate you need an electrical contractor. If you notice intermittent power loss or high energy bills, it could be due to outdated home wiring or insulation issues. For any safety concern—like shocks or burning smells—have a Brevard professional assess your home to determine whether electrical repairs or another service is needed.
