"Needed fencing installed to keep groundhogs from taking up residence under our deck. Brady came up with a creative and complete solution that made sure the varmints were out and would not return. Would use again."

"Hard working crew. What would have taken an average crew of 4, 2 weeks to finish, these guys did in 5 days. Owner came within an hour to give estimate. I added a couple of small jobs after the estimate and they charged no extra. These guys know exterior and interior restoration. Our log home hadn’t been treated in over 10 years but no looks better than ever. Project Foreman presented me with any issues as he found them and gave me options. My neighbors have now hired them. "We had just bought a manufactured home that was in dire need of cleaning. Jake made it look new when it was done! We were very pleased. His price was reasonableâ ¦.especially compared to other quotes we had received. Being a man of many skills, he also installed a new toilet for us while he was there! We will use him again!"

"I highly recommend Carlos and his crew! They removed not one but two layers of wallpaper. Repaired the walls where needed, removed the chair rail and painted my entire dinning room. It looks stunning! They are fast, efficient, reasonable and do a fantastic job. I’ve already got them scheduled to come back to do another job for us."

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

Per the International Code Council, walk-in shower floors should have a minimum slope of 1/4-inch per foot (or a 2% slope) towards the drain. The slope should be no steeper than 1/2-inch per foot (or a 4% slope). This helps safely direct water into the drain rather than all over your bathroom.

The number of boxes of tile you need depends entirely on the amount of tile in each box or case. Different manufacturers package their tiles differently, and boxes contain different amounts of tile depending on the size, shape, and material. Often, the amount of area that a case will cover is listed in the product description. To calculate the number of boxes you need, take the total square feet of the space and divide it by the number of square feet the box will cover.

It’s possible to walk on a clay tile roof, but you run the risk of breaking or cracking the tiles if you’re not careful, so it’s best not to walk on it if you can avoid it. If you or a contractor needs roof access, be sure to distribute your weight evenly and step on the portions of tile that are also supported underneath, which depends on your tile design. Walking on any roofing material is inherently dangerous, so wear rubber-soled shoes and use safety equipment if you need to access your roof.

For professional labor and materials, it would cost between $6,000 and $28,000 to install 1,000 square feet of Saltillo tile flooring. If that’s out of your budget, you could consider laying the tiles yourself or choosing a less expensive type of flooring. For example, vinyl flooring costs just $2 to $7 per square foot, so for a 1,000-square-foot space, you’d pay $2,000 to $7,000.

Tile shouldn’t be set tight against the tub. Bathtubs can expand when filled, and they can shift slightly with the weight of occupants. For this reason, it’s important to leave a slight gap between the bathtub and the first row of tile. Aim for a narrow gap of approximately 1/16 of an inch, filled with caulk, to allow for this expansion and movement while still allowing for tile shower waterproofing.
