"The pro came 2 hours later than the scheduled time (scheduled for 9 am, came around 11 am). The price for a simple cartridge change in the shower was $486.00. In the invoice description the pro wrote: "I inspected the master shower. After evaluating the issue, I determined that the cartridge was faulty. We proceeded with replacing the cartridge". Then under Service # KSF-132 Description is written: Replace single handle premium kitchen faucet. Quantity 1.00 Then amount $486.41 What is that? He did one job and charged me for something else. He didn't give me the invoice straight away when I asked; he told me he would email it to me later. So, I couldn't even see what job I was signing for. I would not recommend this company to anyone."

Shower doors had excessive spacing and had to be reinstalled, so as not to leak on floor. The existing commode when reinstalled now leaks. Lance Read was called to repair but never showed up. The existing bathroom door has scars from demon. Molding both shoe and base not installed correctl. Shower no. 2 was even worse. When they left not finishing, his worker stole items from house. I have pictures and can/will invite anyone to see. This was the worse experience I have ever had in my life."

Lawn irrigation is the process of getting water to your lawn, grass and all, for it to grow. There are five main types of lawn irrigation methods:

  • Manual irrigation puts you in charge of the flow of water. Using a sprinkler head on your hose is best to evenly distribute the water across your entire lawn. This doesn’t take much time but requires you to be physically outside holding the hose. 

  • Above-ground sprinklers attach to your hose and rotate or oscillate around your lawn. Since these are above-ground, they’ll need to be moved when it’s time to mow, and depending on the size of your property, you might need to move it around your yard for full coverage. 

  • In-ground sprinklers are flush with the ground when not in use but pop up above the ground level when it's time to water the lawn. Piping for these sprinklers is all found underground, and there are different types of sprinkler heads for different uses and lawn sizes. 

  • Drip irrigation involves drip lines that are more efficient than sprinklers for more extensive lawns. This involves a lot of digging since they are installed underground, but it makes it easy for you to mow.

  • Rainwater collection and irrigation uses nature’s precipitation to water your lawn. This option might not be available in every area since semi-reliable rainfall is needed, though the barrels for this system can range from 15 gallons to 10,000 gallons or more.

Sprinkler lines need to be buried 8 to 12 inches deep. The pipes should be at least 4 inches deep and should be completely underground. If you live in a colder climate, consider burying pipes deeper than 8 inches to better protect them from freezing temperatures. Don’t bury the lines too deep because this can make it harder to detect leaks and make sprinkler repairs.

Drip irrigation is best and most commonly used for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. Unless you’re building a home and landscaping from scratch, installing subsurface drip irrigation is going to be costly and time-consuming. 

You can’t install such a system in a yard with tree roots; ultimately, the expenses of yard preparation and installation will dwarf the savings unless your yard is unusually shaped or difficult to water. An above-surface solution, like a soaker hose, is a more viable option. However, it can create tripping hazards and pose safety issues while using a lawn mower and other machinery.

Sprinkler systems cost about $2,500 on average, and prices usually fall between $400 and $5,000. The price you can expect to pay will depend on the size and layout of your property, number of sprinkler heads, and whether or not your plumbing system can provide the water pressure required for in-ground sprinklers. Larger properties will cost more to irrigate because of more materials and labor for the installation. A water pressure booster might be necessary and that expense can increase your price by between $500 and $1,000.

First, make sure you’re watering your grass early in the morning (and keep in mind you don’t have to water every day). Doing this helps ensure the water is able to soak in before the hot temps evaporate all of the water. Also, when you mow, don’t mow your grass as short as you would in non-drought conditions. Taller grass can help slow down the rate at which soil dries out. Finally, take your leftover lawn clippings and spread them out across the lawn to give it a little extra shade and nutrients.
