"Our old 1940s house foundation needed some serious repairs. Water had been infiltrating the crawl space from rain and ground water for many years. Girder beams and support posts were slowly rotting. A web search turned up some companies which I interviewed and got quotes from. The Sexton Brothers were heads above all with their punctuality, diligence in understanding the problems, clear presentation on the proposed work, and competitive pricing. They kept to schedules and even finished 2 days early. Wonderful! I would certainly recommend them to others and in fact am considering them for another project right now."

"Donny did a great job fixing my shop. The entire sill plate of the building had been eaten by termites. Donny had to lift the walls in portions and replace the sill and then poured a new concrete foundation over the dirt floor that was in place. The work was done quickly, he always kept the place clean, was respectful and very helpful explaining things and helping us understand what was going on. It was a great experience. I hired Donny again for another foundation repair when a wall on out converted carport was leaking at the base. Donny responded quickly, gave a good quote and got to work. "Hired ZR Landscaping to rebuild a retaining wall with paver patio that was poorly installed just four years earlier by another contractor. Zach diagnosed poor drainage behind the wall as the reason the wall base was washing out. Zach had a detailed, competitively priced written proposal to me in under 24 hours. He offered to reuse some of the existing blocks to reduce the total cost. Our project was scheduled just a few weeks out, not months out like a couple other contractors had proposed. The crew was punctual and very hard-working for a solid four days. Crew leader Julio answered all our questions and kept us informed through of each level of the new installation. Zach came back by himself to see the completed project, answer a few questions and make sure we were satisfied."

"Ana & David, the owner-operators of Appalachian Excavation & Concrete just completed the installation of our home's new 80 foot long driveway and apron, after removing the years old severely decomposed one. They also installed a new drain box and connected it to the existing rainwater drainage system. "I would highly recommend David. After finding him on Angi, I had him inspect a slope and retaining wall on a house we are looking to purchase in Franklin. The home inspector had noted some settling of the porch, and I worried about the stability of the slope underneath the porch. The current owners had a local person build a retaining wall a few years prior, and they were convinced that any erosion issues had been resolved. However, David immediately pointed out to me that the current retaining wall wasn't built properly and was failing to do its job. Already, there was so much erosion that he could literally slide his hand under the base of the retaining wall, and he warned that we were sitting on a time bomb. In fact, David said it would literally be only a matter of months before we had a much bigger problem on our hands. I contacted the owners, and -- about a month later-- they agreed to have David fix the problem. Even from the time when David first came out, more erosion had occurred in the ensuing several weeks -- just as he had warned. He did a great job of building a much more substantial wall and also graded the top of the driveway to fix a drainage issue. I can't imagine the mess we'd have had to deal with if the problem had not been addressed. Before contacting David, I'd spent a good bit of time researching contractors in the area. The mountains are wonderful, but they are also home to a number of contractors who do very questionable work (as evidenced by the contractor who built the first retaining wall). When I saw that David had over 250 positive reviews on Angi, I knew I'd found our contractor! He did not disappoint. If you're looking for someone you can trust to do slope or foundation work, look no further. David is your man."
