Benn is a talented, multifaceted young man who pays strict attention to detail. He pulled a ton of weeds in our yard and laid down mulch, creating a beautiful lay out. The next day, he replaced three old steps on our front porch and 2 on our back deck, and then stained everything. The workmanship is outstanding. He is easily a five star performer. On the operations side, he and his wife keep excellent communication in setting and confirming data. Benn is always on time. He is courteous, friendly, and professional.

Landscape - Install Landscaping for Yard or Garden
I hired Benn to put in some terracing along the back of our cabin where there is a steep slope and we had been dealing with erosion. He spent two days on the project and now we have a great 4-foot wide gravel walkway that has also taken care of our erosion issues. All communication was done in a timely way and they worked to keep the scheduled dates (even with some weather issues leading up to them) because it is a rental property and we had blocked off those days well in advance. Very happy overall!

B&A is maintaining a lot for me which is a couple hours drive from where I live. They are shockingly professional for any company, let alone a lawn care company. I get timely texts with pictures of work done, easy payment via Zelle, easy switching from mowing to leaf clear with a month or so of quiet when neither is needed. They go above and beyond by describing the condition of my lot on each visit. As a computing professional, I have very high expectations on the quality of communication with my vendors, and this company knocks it out of the park.

Lawn & Yard Waste Clean Up
I give B&A Home Improvement my highest recommendation. These individuals are professional, kind, and have a top-notch work ethic. Recently, they were hired to move some brush and logs on the property. I was very impressed with how they went the extra mile and manicured the far end of the yard after the removal of the brush. Ultimately, they removed over 50 years of the accumulation of leaves and other bio-sediment on the far end of the yard; therefore, restoring the yard to how it was in the 1970's! In other words, their work enabled the reclamation of the yard to which I am very grateful! If you are looking for yard maintenance, helping with landscape issues, or other needs, call this company as they are the absolute best in Western North Carolina.

Wood Fence Repair
I posted an earlier review for front yard landscaping, but Benn also repaired and/or replaced several sections of wooden privacy fence. This included the removal and replacement of posts in concrete and re-leveling and aligning the old and new sections. Again, communication was perfect and the results were as expected. Benn is trustworthy, smart, respectful, and gets job started and completed as promised. Some people over-promise and under-deliver, but Iâ d say Benn does the opposite.

Benn had been cutting my lawn (religiously with excellent communication) and I wanted a big patch of English Ivy removed so I asked him to give me a quote and do the job. Part way through the first day he called to tell me he had tried but the job was out of his expertise. So he gave me back the deposit and asked for a smaller payment to cover the work done so far. He offered an option to continue that included herbicide and I agreed he would pick up again in a few days. But again he called the next day, said he could not sleep feeling he had failed. I was not unhappy at all. However, he had done his own research and found a local firm that specialized in English Ivy removal without herbicide, interviewed them for me and set up a meeting. They were exactly what I wanted for the ivy job. I have never seen service as thorough, thoughtful and passionate as B&A Home Improvement. Five stars!

Lawn & Yard Waste Clean Up
This is the 2nd year I have hired them to clean up the mountain slope behind my vacation rental. They did a phenomenal job last year clearing overgrowth and raking out neglected Love Grass. I have them coming back later month to tame Mother Nature and make the slope beautiful again. They are always friendly, prompt, hard working, clean up all the debris and haul it away.
