"Just had my first service check up on my heating and air conditioning unit. As was the install the scheduling was easy. The technician called prior to arrival. I met him at the door and he explained everything that the service included. Then he went about his business. The report was concise and I am extremely pleased with his professionalism and manner. I highly recommend Maynor for your installation and service needs."

"Vendor install a Honeywell 7200 series thermostat in my new home, but I decided to upgrade to a 6580 WiFi unit. I did all the work myself but couldn't get the A/C to work. I called Honey well who referrred me to Enhanced Heating and A/C. I called them at 3:45 PM on a Friday afternoon and got a live person who said someone will call me back after I presented the problem I had. Around 4 PM I got a call from Sean who helped me out with the wiring and the A/C is now working."

"Yellow Dot installed our furnaces new about 3 years ago.  Though they were not our current provider for annual maintenance, I called to find out if they would honor the warranty.  They did.  They came out as soon as possible, quickly diagnosed a defective unit, ordered parts and installed them first thing the next morning.  This was all during inclement weather that closed schools and businesses.  They also checked into the warranty with the furnace manufacturer and confirmed that parts and labor were covered.  Great customer service, and no cost to us!  Was very impressed with speed of response, level of customer care, and professionalism of all involved.

"I had another come out and service my furnace and when I did that they came up with like $1200 worth of work. So what I did, I thought I would get a second quote. So, a friend of mine told me about Bull City Heating & Air, so I called them and I told them exactly what the other one told me. They went under and basically said there was no problem. There was a switch or a turn that had to be tightened, so they tightened it. There was something else that needed to be replaced and they said "No it didn't need to, it had a little rust." They kind of got the rust off and basically said it was fine. So, they saved me all kinds of money. It was excellent and I decided right there, I am using them for now on. I think they are just in the ballpark with everyone else for price. It's not like they are the highest or the lowest. I don't remember that kind of thing. They didn't break the bank, which is nice."

"Jim did a great job. He quickly assessed the problem and then took our unit with him to work on it more. When he got back to us, the fix would have cost more than it was worth. He gave us options for a new or refurbished PC. We felt the refurbished was a good deal and chose that. He came back and set that up and we are very happy with it. He then took a look at my laptop and again took it along. He tuned it up and installed a speed upgrade we wanted. Of course, we paid extra for the new unit and upgrades, but we thought the price was very fair. Jim seemed very knowledgeable and responsive. We will definitely call him again if we need any computer services."

Install Boiler questions, answered by experts

Installation costs range from $4,000 to $12,000, depending on unit size, efficiency rating, and labor.

A home radiator works by using radiation and convection to transfer heat throughout your home. Electric radiators use metal to conduct heat and warm the air, which then rises to warm the room. Steam and hot water radiators work with a boiler and piping system to pump thermal energy throughout the home. Hot water radiators use a boiler to heat the water before circulating it to the radiator, while steam heating radiator systems convert the heated water to steam before circulating it out. When the water or steam cools, it travels back to the boiler to be heated again.

If you want a new boiler that’s going to help lower your fuel bills, you should buy one that has a high energy-efficiency rating. For example, a boiler that is rated “A” uses at least 90% of the energy created by the boiler. And in order to enjoy the best performance, it’s important to have it installed properly by a highly-rated tech.

The average cost to replace or install a new HVAC system is around $7,500. However, the price can range from $5,000 to $12,500, depending on factors like the size of your home, the type and brand of the unit, and your specific heating and cooling needs. If you only need to replace certain components, the cost will be lower; for example, a new AC unit can cost between $2,200 and $5,500, while a new furnace costs $3,200 to $6,000. If additional work like new ductwork is required, the total cost could be as high as $22,000. It's best to contact a local HVAC company for an accurate quote.

Professional HVAC installation requires licensed expertise in several areas, including electrical- and plumbing-related work. An HVAC team must know how to safely handle regulated refrigerant chemicals and the gas, oil, or propane used in furnaces and boilers. A proper HVAC installation protects your home from energy loss, fires, and even carbon monoxide leaks.
