"These people are great! The service, the price, the quality of work are excellent. What I liked best, besides the personality of the plumber, was the pricing schedule. Everything is laid out with all choices made available. The service was quick, effective, and I will save so much money on my water bill this month, I can hire them again! I highly recommend this company. They arrive on time, are very respectful, and the service is excellent. Karolyn Stanley"

"Chris was great! He called and said he could come as soon as he finished up the job he was working on. As I was out of hot water, I really appreciated his quick response. Chris was professional and gave me all the information I needed to make decisions. He did great work and finished the job of replacing my water heater very quickly. It s been working great. "Called All American because my drain line was clogged and my sink was completely plugged up. Scheduled appointment and they showed up promptly and were ready to work. Drained the grease trap and did their best to clean the drain lines running from the Kitchen/Laundry room to the trap. They couldn't completely unblock it. They cleaned the lines as best they could and they performed an additional service of pressure hosing the lines which they didn't charge me for when it didn't quite work. I have to say it's not because they didn't try.... I wound up having to call Roto-Rooter to finish the job.  Overall...The two men that came out were knowledgeable about what they were doing. Made every effort to help me correct the problem with the tools that they had.. I have kept their card and will definitely call them back in the future.

"I had put out a request on Nextdoor for a plumber who has access to use of Hydro jets. Nick, at Quick Drain, was highly recommended with a write up that “he’s done some work for York Properties, and he’s one of the best service people I’ve ever worked with”. We called him up and he promptly came out to take care of our drainage problems. He’s a workhorse! Cleaning out drains (even having to access one from the roof as we did not have a clean out), inspecting drains with his camera, and cleaning up after himself! He also recommended another company who could install a cleanup for our old house. Could not be more pleased with this young man’s fine, professional service !"

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

Crawl space foundations add significant complexity to plumbing jobs due to limited access, high moisture, and delicate encapsulation systems. Older neighborhoods feature failing clay sewer laterals that require full replacement. Steep lot topography alters drain line slope calculations. Historic downtown homes frequently hide non-standard pipe layouts. Finally, properties on the outskirts of NC towns transitioning from private wells to municipal systems require specialized contractor expertise.

Helpful?

As homes age in Apex, plumbing needs shift significantly. Homes built in the 1980s and 1990s feature polybutylene pipes that fail from chlorinated municipal water. Older properties face galvanized pipe corrosion and root intrusion in sewer lines. For homes built around twenty years ago, expect copper joint wear and water heater replacements. Address these issues proactively to protect your property from unexpected water damage.

Helpful?

Start your plumbing project by securing necessary permits through the local development services portal. Projects like repiping or water heater replacements require inspections before closing walls. Coordinate any sewer lateral work with municipal utilities. Plan around the seasons, as high summer humidity complicates crawl space work, while winter brings freeze risks. Always hire a licensed professional in NC to ensure all work meets state building codes.

Helpful?

Replacing polybutylene pipes requires complete removal, as partial repipes create massive liability and insurance risks. Sewer lateral work demands precise sloping to prevent chronic blockages. Gas water heater venting must strictly adhere to safety codes to prevent hazardous conditions. Additionally, poorly insulated pipes in unconditioned crawl spaces frequently freeze during cold snaps in Apex. Proper backflow prevention devices are also mandatory for homes with irrigation systems.

Helpful?

Treat active leaks in polybutylene pipes, whole-house sewer backups, and strong sewage odors as immediate emergencies. Replace water heaters older than twelve years right away, as moderately hard water in Apex accelerates degradation. You must also insulate exposed crawl space pipes before winter freezes. Schedule minor fixture drips or single slow drains for a later date. Address known issues proactively to maintain your homeowner's insurance coverage.
