"MiniMoves Inc. was very efficient in handling our small move. They were responsive in getting a quote to us and setting up a pickup time. The 3 men (Tay, C.J. & Chay) who showed up in a timely fashion, carefully packed up all our items and were very professional and respective in our home. Our items were received at the other end of the move quicker than expected. Again the men who delivered our items were very professional and communicated well with us. All of our items, many of which were valuable art pieces were delivered and unpacked in perfect condition. We couldn't be happier with this small move experience. We will definitely use them again for another small move in the future. We are gradually moving our belongings from Chicago to Palm Desert, CA in setting up our winter home. So glad we found MiniMoves."

"I would never ever hire this moving company again. First of all the sales person ( good ole Gary ) didn’t even bother to give me a follow up call to see how everything went after spending $10,000. You would think that he would at least make a follow up call but he didn’t and here’s the reason why: ( he knew what they were going to do and he didn’t have the decency to tell me he just wanted the money ) They arrived at my house and packed everything up in one truck very nicely. I personally packed all of my stuff and I personally wrapped all of my furniture in blankets and stretch wrap. I put cardboard corners on all the legs of my furniture. They brought the truck back to the warehouse and they unloaded the truck in the warehouse ( the more they mess with and handle your stuff well you know ) and then they contacted another mover out of Chicago to come pick my stuff up which required them to reload it in another truck. This was not told to me. Upon reloading the other truck, ( I’m not there so let’s party ) they decided to unwrap some of my furniture, yank the legs off and throw it in boxes. The furniture was filled with stuff in the drawers. One of the pieces had Makeup in it and all exploded - they threw it into a bag and taped it up and handed it to me at my new home in a ball of a grocery bag with a mile of duct tape !!! THANK YOU The mirrored furniture was all cracked. All of the GLASS knobs were broken. I CUT MYSELF ON ONE DRAWER - trying to remove items. Much of my boxes were dented because they put so many things on top because they want to make sure that they fill that truck and get every teeny square inch packed in so they can make more money $$$$. I mean, 2 inches of space can’t be left uncrammed. The side tables for my bedroom were tossed and thrown upside down. They have chips of paint, missing the drawers do not slide in. These were also wrapped in blankets saran wrapped, and they had leg corners. They didn’t care they were small and they could throw them. And they did. I transported my trike with them and you should’ve seen how they unloaded it from the truck. It got to the point where three men were not enough, and I had to get involved and help them get it off the ramp. Had I not been there to WATCH THEM they would’ve surely scratched the tailpipes. They behaved because I was there. They do not care about you after they get your money !!!!! Stay away from this Mover and this company !!! Trust me when I tell you you have much much better options. I made the mistake of thinking that this was a very fine long standing St. Louis Company. It’s far from it."

"I didn't feel they took the care they should have with my furniture. A dresser had damage they claimed was from the elevator door, I believe it happened from something rubbing up against it. They dropped the piece hard at my old residence and gouged the parquet floor twice. I asked what would be done about it repairs? Was told "I don't know I just put it in my report". I Have not been contacted regarding the damage. So its been two days and no contact by company. Today I unpacked the last of my boxes and one labeled very fragile had 7 broken crystal stemware pieces. Each was wrapped in bubble wrap and the box was stuffed with newspaper. They had to of thrown my box with force to the ground for that to happen. I am very upset with how careless these movers were with my belongings. Update, one week later, I was contacted by a very rude person who accepted no responsibility for my damages. If you value your belongings don't use two men and a truck."

"If you don't want to read my whole review, the bottom line is that Allied “lost” (or stole) approximately $3k of our items in transit and accepts no responsibility. Not even an apology. Avoid at all costs. From start to finish, working with Allied was a terrible experience. First, we were told that the movers would come on a certain day, and when I called to confirm 2 days prior (because I hadn't heard back via email to confirm), I was told the movers would actually take 2 days and would come the next day. Next, when items were being packed, an entire closet was missed (Luckily, we did a walk through before we moved). Finally, Allied lost nearly $3,000 of items in our move, including our wedding silver, an unused designer purse and attachments for our Dyson vacuum (not to mention things we likely haven't noticed). When I submitted a claim, I was told that since we signed for our items, the claim was invalid (as if one could actually know what was in every box the day they were dropped off). We paid over $10k for the pleasure of this terrible experience. AVOID ALLIED AT ALL COSTS"
