I would never ever hire this moving company again. First of all the sales person ( good ole Gary ) didn’t even bother to give me a follow up call to see how everything went after spending $10,000. You would think that he would at least make a follow up call but he didn’t and here’s the reason why: ( he knew what they were going to do and he didn’t have the decency to tell me he just wanted the money ) They arrived at my house and packed everything up in one truck very nicely. I personally packed all of my stuff and I personally wrapped all of my furniture in blankets and stretch wrap. I put cardboard corners on all the legs of my furniture. They brought the truck back to the warehouse and they unloaded the truck in the warehouse ( the more they mess with and handle your stuff well you know ) and then they contacted another mover out of Chicago to come pick my stuff up which required them to reload it in another truck. This was not told to me. Upon reloading the other truck, ( I’m not there so let’s party ) they decided to unwrap some of my furniture, yank the legs off and throw it in boxes. The furniture was filled with stuff in the drawers. One of the pieces had Makeup in it and all exploded - they threw it into a bag and taped it up and handed it to me at my new home in a ball of a grocery bag with a mile of duct tape !!! THANK YOU The mirrored furniture was all cracked. All of the GLASS knobs were broken. I CUT MYSELF ON ONE DRAWER - trying to remove items. Much of my boxes were dented because they put so many things on top because they want to make sure that they fill that truck and get every teeny square inch packed in so they can make more money $$$$. I mean, 2 inches of space can’t be left uncrammed. The side tables for my bedroom were tossed and thrown upside down. They have chips of paint, missing the drawers do not slide in. These were also wrapped in blankets saran wrapped, and they had leg corners. They didn’t care they were small and they could throw them. And they did. I transported my trike with them and you should’ve seen how they unloaded it from the truck. It got to the point where three men were not enough, and I had to get involved and help them get it off the ramp. Had I not been there to WATCH THEM they would’ve surely scratched the tailpipes. They behaved because I was there. They do not care about you after they get your money !!!!! Stay away from this Mover and this company !!! Trust me when I tell you you have much much better options. I made the mistake of thinking that this was a very fine long standing St. Louis Company. It’s far from it.

The crew was exceptional. Punctual, professional and courteous. In a very large move, nothing was damaged. I have moved several times before, and it was a great relief to have a team that actually knew what they were doing. Angie and Randy are the best!

What I thought would be a nightmare ended up being very enjoyable. They coordinated moving us from our house to our son's house, our son to an apartment and then the majority of our furniture to storage. They handled each move beautifully, they were careful with the furniture, they were early for each move and worked non stop until they were done. I will hire them again.

I just talked, and received email photos, with my son in Sterling, VA on the shipment of his bedroom set. It was delivered this morning, is now assembled for his son to start using, and they are pleased. I am very thankful this whole shipping process worked on schedule and seamlessly to accomplish the task of getting the items to them. I am also impressed with the exemplary coordination/communication by you and your organization as well as your counterparts at the distant end; proving proof that "customer service" still exists in some companies!!! To start I never leave bad reviews, but this is ridiculous. Our first move was great minus the fact that they broke our rototiller, right in front of us. They were told how to correctly move the item but did not heed our instruction. Due to our $250 deductible they will not correct the issue as the fix is 200. On the second move (for items that remained at our home for staging) there was zero communication and the mover arrived with no help!! My husband had to actually help the mover so that the items (sofa sleeper etc) made it safely inside. I have emailed the VP with zero response. The salesman and secretary both have also ignored my emails. Good customer service until you pay, then don’t hold your breath if you need something.

Cord's staff is attentive to ensure the proper care of your belongings, they were expedient in their timelines and friendly. We used them first for a move from our home to an apartment, then again from the apartment to our new home around 5 months later. They were AMAZING!!!!

Could not have been more pleased with the professionalism evidenced by everyone involved. The team arrived on time and were courteous and efficient. Intelligent, caring and within the time expectation laid out form the start.

We were pleased with our Cord experience for a local move in St Louis. Erin was our salesperson. She was professional and did a good job evaluating our needs. Jake and his crew also did a good job with the move. Professional and worked hard. Price was fair when comparing bids. Would recommend them.

Very professional and punctual. Move took only about half the time the estimator gave, great when paying by the hour. Had a more accurate estimate been given we would have planned for more to have been moved by the movers, because we budgeted for a full day. A couple things got dented but were of low vaule or didn't effect the use of item.

They did an absolutely outstanding job...We asked for the same team: Alex Henry, Darnell Wilson, Donte Wilson and Gary Strong... that loaded us up to unload at the new house (the truck had to store our belongings for 2 nights due to our house closing dates) Moving from a 2 story house in the city with slanted upstairs walls is a task in and of itself and this team made it go seamlessly...Getting quote from Rich Helton in advance was a huge help so that we could budget our move...I highly recommend this team and company...

The 4 guys were very nice and did a great job. They really didn't waste anytime getting started and keep up the pace through the move.

UNETHICAL AND ILLEGAL!! Cord would not stand behind the statement made in writing by their own employee who informed us via email on the day of our goods delivery, that we have nine months from the date of delivery to file a claim for damage. Cord sent a letter after we filed the claim within that timeframe that "any and all damage must be noted at time of delivery". It is impractical and impossible given the number of hours in a day and that this was a full 2-story home move to open everything and identify all damages on the day of move. The position Cord took in this matter is unethical and illegal. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) states that "You have 9 months from the date of delivery (or in the event of loss for the entireshipment, from the date your shipment should have been delivered) to file your claim." Cord refused.

far exceeded my expectations. they actually made it fun and put me at ease on what could have been a rather stressful day. they were priced below their competitors for the middle of the week, but that didn't mean less service. my brother and sister have both used them and I felt very comfortable making this choice. HIGHLY recommend.

I have used Cord services numerous times over the last 25 years. I can't say enough how wonderful they are to deal with. Very Professional, attentive to detail, timely, and a family owned operation that cares.
