"I highly recommend Gillespie Insulation. David was professional, punctual, and did a great job communicating what work was needed and what would help cool my house best. Always kept us updated on progress and stayed transparent through the entire project. Already notice how much cooler my house is and my AC/Heat doesn’t have to work as hard to keep this old house Cool! Thank you again David"

Emergency services offered

"I was very impressed with the work ethic of the company. They followed through with what they told me they were going to do. If they were unable to come at the appointed time, they always contacted me to let me know about the schedule change. I appreciate very much that they were so conscientious about keeping me informed. They did a great job on all of the repairs they completed on my house, and the cost was very reasonable. I will definitely contact them in the future, if I need a company to repair my home. It was great for a single company to complete a variety of jobs from installing attic insulation, to removing an old attic fan, to repairing ceilings. I did not have to find a lot of different companies. Eco Energy & Solar Solutions did all of those repairs! Awesome company!"

Drywall Insulation questions, answered by experts

Whether Venetian plaster increases your home's value often depends on the buyer's preference. As a purely aesthetic upgrade, it doesn't add structural value in the same way a kitchen or bathroom remodel might. However, its beautiful and attractive appearance can make a home more appealing to potential buyers, possibly leading to more interest, higher offers, and increased competition when you sell.

While textured walls can elevate a space in many ways, there are a couple of downsides to consider. Namely, they’re hard to clean, and some textures fall out of fashion quickly. Make sure to consider all your options to find one you truly love before diving in.

Yes, small, superficial cracks are normal as homes settle. Older homes have a higher chance of showing signs of settling through hairline cracks from temperature changes, moisture changes, and soil shifting. However, larger cracks, or discolored cracks from water damage, may signify a bigger problem that requires reparations and preventative measures.

A 50-pound mirror can be hung on drywall, but only if it has the support of strong hardware. Ideally, you can find the studs behind the drywall and attach the mirror to them; this will give your mirror better stability. Otherwise, confirm that you are using anchors appropriate to the weight of the mirrors. Another technique is to use French cleats—two pieces of wood that fit together, with one piece attached to the wall and the other to the mirror. This allows the weight to be distributed over a wider area.

Costs depend on damage size, labor rates, and whether additional services like painting are required.
