This company installed my original HVAC system when I first bought my home in the mid 90's. They have serviced my equipment every year since then, and repaired issues in the most cost effective manner. They installed new motors and fans in my existing heating and ac units...they kept my heating unit going for 27 years! . When it was finally time to replace the whole system ,they walked me through the benefits of a heat pump, and basically held my hand while I tried to figure out what the best option was. They came on time to do the installation, clean up and hauled away the old units, made sure I understood how everything worked, and delivered a great product with a great warranty. These guys have taken care of me for years. Highly recommend this local family business.

This company installed the AC Compressor on a slanted roof, incorrectly. Aug 2015 They built a wooden platform+sealed it at the bottom of the platform, blocking water from draining down the roof. May 2020 Discovered The AC Platform caused the rain to leak from a new roof, onto the ceiling, damaging the insulation, sheetrock & flooring. The owner, Sydney Lee, was rude. He said he would be here to see the damage but ever showed up. I am forced to sue this company ad I have ever sued anyone i my life.

We are very happy with the installation and service from AC ambulance. We had our AC unit replaced in September 2017 and the office personnel, installer and his assistant were all very professional. The arrived in the morning as scheduled, removed the old system, installed the new system, tested everything and did not leave until everything was done and we understood how it worked. Excellent job by all at AC ambulance. I would recommend them to all my friends. The system installed was a variable speed Diaken inverter system. This unit is awesome. It slowly speeds up and speeds up to only what is needed. This is great because I am a light sleeper. The old system had two speeds, off and full blast. When the unit would kick on at night, it would go from dead quiet to rocket blast. Thankfully that is now gone and replaced with this system that slowly comes up to speed. We have noticed that the house is also more comfortable with the lower humidity due to the new unit. Thanks again AC ambulance for helping us choose the right equipment and installing professionally. AC Ambulance also has been taking care of our rental properties for the past 20 years. These guys have always been able to fix the problem no matter what is was. They are professional, punctual, and know their trade. I would recommend Sidney and his crew to everyone.

It wasn't that good frankly. They were slow and didn't respond quickly. They cancelled a couple of times. It wasn't very satisfactory. We ended up replacing the air conditioning unit and we used another company. We didn't go back to AC Ambulance. They came out to fill the Freon. They came out 3 times in a row. They never did fix the leak. They just kept refilling the Freon. We did that 3 times and that's when I said I have had enough and we got someone else to come out. It was $275 but that was 3 times. Over the course of a year they didn't fix the problem. The price was fair for what they did, that wasn't the problem. They were slow and very hard to get.

They're really good. I've been using AC Ambulance for like the last 10 years. I've been using them before I joined Angie's List. They're awesome and they're the greatest to reach out to. I get a package deal every year for spring and fall maintenance, for the air conditioner and for the heater maintenance like a $110 per unit. I would give them an A for everything, that's why we've been using them for 10 years.

Blower motor was out on the condenser unit. Called AC ambulance and scheduled service for next day. Reception said someone would call and set time. They did--service person arrived on time (Vincent) he checked unit, didn't have part, knew where to get--he noted that unit should still be under warranty and motor should be covered--I am 2nd owner of unit---Part was available next day--Vincent called me to let me know of availability and set return time--He showed up on time again--he had to argue with parts guy about warranty coverage for the motor--(I didn't ask him to do this)- -he got it covered under warranty, else it would have cost me a small fortune (computer controlled part)--he installed part and checked unit---it was clear he knew what he was doing--It was also clear that he was very experienced in the service industry because he kept me, the customer, informed of what was going on with the job start to finish--AC ambulance also honored their Angie's list coupon--I would call this company again---good work!!

Well, I quickly discovered that the "Ambulance" has no emergency service!  Not only that, but just today I found out that one unit was incorrectly installed.  Sidney wants your money, but is not there for you when you need him.

I could not believe it when I called the AC Ambulance and was told by the dispatcher that someone would call me within an hour. They were correct. The technician called in about thirty minutes and was on his way to my home. I was standing outside when I got the surprise of my life. Not one but two trucks pulled up. I had two techs with two stocked parts trucks to work on my unit. One tech went to the parts house to pick up the motor since neither truck had one on it; while the other tech got the fan motor housing ready for the new motor. Again I say, the complete time on the repair was no more that 1 and 1/2 hours.

I was woken up around 7:15 AM by my outside AC unit making a horrible screeching noise. When I checked the unit the fan was not spinning. I suspected the bearings and found a video of a unit with bad bearings which sounded the same. I called AC Ambulance around 8 AM to describe what happened and schedule a service call and was told that Mike would be out later today. I'm in south Louisiana, so prompt service was a necessity because it is very hot here.
I received a call from Mike around 11:45 stating he was on his way. He arrived around 12:15 PM. He inspected the unit and told me that the fan motor needed to be replaced and estimated the cost at $625. He also discussed the pros & cons of fixing the old unit vs. buying a new unit for which he also gave me an estimate. His opinion was that the unit was worth fixing since a new unit would mean a conversion to the newer Freon and mean replacing everything inside & out. This would be quite an expense. I decided to go ahead with the new fan motor. He did not have the proper fan on his truck, so he would have to get one from across town. He said he would be back in several hours.
Mike returned after 4 PM and quickly installed the new motor. My AC is working fine now. He was very informative and helpful. He also didn't mind answering most of the questions I had already asked him for my husband who was home from work. Mike was very professional and made me feel that I made an informed decision about the AC.
The total bill was $625 as Mike had estimated. I like that I had the option to go online and pay with my credit card using my invoice number rather than having the number written out on an invoice or having to write a physical check. I received an email acknowledgement of my payment immediately.
I will definitely use AC Ambulance in the future as well as recommending them to friends & family.

Was contacted by the provider within 48hrs to schedule appointment. Appointment was scheduled between 12-4 the next day after scheduling. Took off from work to meet with technician who never showed up. Contacted business line who stated technician went to another job, and would contact me after that one was completed at 2pm. I waited until 4:30 then contacted the business again. Name and number was taken down, and again was told technician would contact me. Called back at 5:30, no one contacted me; they again took my name and number down. Called back at 6:30, and again at 7:30 to then be told that there were no technicians working at this time, and I would be charged extra for a weekend visit or have to wait until Monday morning to reschedule. I never once was contacted by any field technicians, or had another visit my residence.
The following morning I did receive a call from there office, on Saturday, stating they weren't sure why the technician never showed up. Technician then showed up within the hour, and cleared the clogged drain within 5 minutes. I was billed $125 for the business failing to meet my appointment within their scheduled work week, and meeting me on a weekend support service.
Response from AC Ambulance
"We were contacted on 8/7 the call was sent out on 8/8, at 1:17 pm my tec called Sean but got no answer, he then proceeded to go to Pontchatoula and was their till after 5pm, he did not return to the call, the next day Saturday another tech took the call not knowing the call was not made on Friday. Saturday call require a $60.00 call out fee plus the service call of $125.00 which is our standard rate, when he was told about the mix-up he only charged the standard rate. The first tech should have called back or gone to the call, for that I apologize. Sidney Lee"

Initially I did not receive a response after I left a message that my unit was completely off and I was oxygen dependent and needed cool air. I did receive a call in less than 48 hours. The service man called and said he could come out on the weekend, but there would be a $60 additional fee. I was glad he came, but not happy about the additional cost. My house was cool within the hour.
