"The company texted me with a picture of the repairman, gave me a window of 2 hours, he arrived put on disposable boots and a mask and said the repair would be $650. Gave us his opinion on what brand to buy. Overall, an excellent service"

"Dustin rearranged his schedule to install a new a/c system in our house. I can't say enough to convey my gratitude for his coming out to the house the first time to troubleshoot the old system, determine that it had to be replaced. He rearranged his schedule just prior to and just after the Memorial Day weekend. I foresee using him for any of our electrical and HVAC problems. He is just a good, reliable person to do business with. I have M/S and he understood this was a big problem for me. Thank you Dustin."

"We were having issues with our hot water heater and had several companies out to diagnose the issue. Evergreen Plumbing has been a blessing. They it only found a fix to keep our old electric water heater going but they gave us the option of installing a new tankless water heater. Jamie really took care of the whole process and gave me confidence in my investment. 10/10 would hire them for all my plumbing needs!!"

In most cases, appliance warranties do not transfer to new owners. However, some exceptions apply. To check the status of your appliance warranty and whether you can transfer it when you move, review the terms and conditions of your warranties or consult your home warranty service. When purchasing a new appliance or one from a previous owner, be sure to pay attention to its warranty status, including the type of coverage and any exclusions.
Yes, most states require plumbers to be licensed, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed plumber could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
Typically, most appliances last anywhere from 10 to 15 years, depending on the appliance, brand, and amount of use. Keeping a regular maintenance schedule, including cleaning and tune-ups, also helps appliances last longer. Dryers, gas stoves, and refrigerators tend to last the longest, averaging about 13 to 15 years. Microwaves and dishwashers tend to last about 10 years on average.
The cost of home appliances ranges from $350 to $8,000 or more, depending on the brand, type of appliance, and features. Additional cost factors include any hookups that need to be installed, such as gas, plumbing, or electrical. Keep in mind that major appliances, such as refrigerators, washers and dryers, and water heaters, will cost more than minor appliances, such as microwaves, due to the size, complexity, and essential nature of the item.
The average cost to hire a plumber is around $100 an hour but can vary between $45 and $200 an hour depending on the plumber’s experience and the repair that you need. It’s also important to note that these prices can go up on holidays, and emergency plumber rates average $150 per hour, in addition to a flat-rate trip fee of $100 to $350.
