Customers say: True professional

"Ken was super friendly and very accommodating to additional tasks I asked if he would be willing to do (even when he was done with the work he had estimated!) and agreed to add more time and running for necessary items to complete the extras for me. He sent pictures and communicated with me since I wasnâ t home while he was working. I trusted his work ethic and ideas on how to repair two gates that were suffering from sagging and to help keep my newly adopted fur baby from digging. He also stripped and stained the wood for me to make the project look absolutely beautiful. Thank you, Ken!"

"He contacted me very promptly and came to look at the project. He explained to me what the problem was and stated he did not have the proper special equipment to make the repair. He recommended a company that he felt sure would be able to do the work."

"JD and his crew were great from beginning to end, performing all tasks agreed upon and within the estimated amount given. He even had one of his guys clean the outside of my bathroom skylight while he was up there. :)

"The company did an excellent job. The owner and his workers are very polite, considerate and get the job done in a professional manner. They are on time and do all they can to help you. The pressure cleaning lead to other jobs in the house like painting and deck staining which they are doing an exellent job. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a good job done on their home."

"I hired them to do my deck and they did a great job. I tried to hire them for two other jobs but they gave me the run around about the estimate. They said they would send somebody out and never did, multiple times. I never could schedule with them, so I let go. I won't call them again."

"

Brad arrived right on time, taking care not to track snow into the house.  He was very careful to clean up afterwards, even volunteering to shovel snow off my back deck before he moved a storage box out there.  He was very professional and very pleasant.

Since he finished the job ahead of the allotted time, he offered to do more things that needed doing around the house.  It was a great experience!

"I had someone else try to fix it a few days ago but he couldn't fix it. I called Jeff and he came right out. He had to run up to the department store for one little part. He had it fixed in less than 30 minutes."

Deck Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can attach a deck to a mobile home, but it’s important that the work be done correctly to avoid the potential for major damage to your home. Many building codes require that any additions to mobile homes—including decks—be either freestanding or have their own support structures. Getting permits may require submitting the home's original floor plan, the proposed floor plan, framing details, and more.

Deck repairs cost around $800 to $3,500 . However, your cost depends on the type and severity of the repair, as well as the type of decking material you have. Other factors, like location and labor costs, impact the price, too. Boards and railings are the priciest parts of a deck to repair, while loose stairs are less expensive to fix.

The best direction for a gate to swing depends on its location and purpose, but swinging inward is the general rule. An inward swing is often considered safer, prevents the gate from opening into public spaces like a sidewalk, and may be required by local building codes.

There are exceptions and specific considerations. If your property is on a slope, an inward swing might not be possible. For a deck gate, it's safest to have it swing away from any steps. In a backyard, the direction can be a matter of preference, though an inward swing can be helpful when carrying heavy items like a wheelbarrow into a garden.

Regardless of direction, ensure the gate can open fully without hitting any objects or blocking spaces. While an inward swing is standard, a gate that can swing both in and out offers the most flexibility if your setup allows for it.

It’s best to use two screws to secure deck boards into every joist. Securing the boards to every joist makes the deck more structurally sound, while using two screws on the outer sides of the boards can help prevent warping and cupping.

It’s best to prime composite decking before painting. This promotes better paint adhesion, helps create a smooth finish, and can mean the paint job will last longer. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions for application, allow ample primer drying time before painting (typically 24 to 48 hours), and thoroughly clean the deck boards to promote the best adhesion.
