"I could not be happier!! Larry was awesome, even though he had been working all day he came to work on my pool. He is the only one who returned my call for help and showed up. I asked him to be my Pool Man and he said yes. He is returning to do some more work on my pool and he is the only person I will have working on my pool. He was kind and explained to me what was wrong with my pool. If you have an above ground pool call Larry he is your pool guy. Really happy I found him. Thank you again Larry."

"Zach and his team completed a huge job for us this year (May 2012).  When we bought our 50 year old home just over a year ago, We had a mess of a backyard, with an inground pool.  While the pool itself was in reasonable shape, the entire pool deck was caving in, and needed to be removed and repoured, and we needed a retaining wall installed around the entire pool, in addition to tree removal and landscape installation.  We had a yard full of weeds and scrub trees.  KC Lawn and Landscape installed a beautiful stamped concrete deck, a firepit with seating wall, a tumbled stone retaining wall, and lots of beautiful landscaping.  Any issues that arose during the project were handled professionally, and the end result is beautiful.  The project moved a little bit slower than originally anticipated but the crew was here daily working on it, often until late in the evening.  They were prompt, dependable, and made sure that the job was done to our satisfaction.  There were no surprises with changes to the budget, even though there were some unexpected issues that Zach and his team had to manage during the project.  He is ethical, fair, and takes pride in his work.  I will definitely use them again for future projects - top notch job.  Our backyard looks like an oasis!!  Thanks KC Lawn and Landscaping!"

"It was great, the pool technician was very helpful and kept us updated on what repairs were needed. He followed up after his visit to ensure we knew the next steps. 10/10 would have this technician again."

"I was having problems with my tile leaking in my 2 bathroom tub areas. These had been re-grouted a couple of times over the years but the base behind them was drywall not green board or concrete board so it was just getting worse. I decided to have tub surrounds put in to waterproof the entire tub/shower surround. Richard said they could be installed over the existing tile if I got the right kind. He had me order them and gave me guidance on what to order. When they came in Richard and his assistant put them in over 1 longish day. They are really nice looking. The tile borders them all the way around. We had one glitch with a tub spout leaking after it was re-installed and Richard came out the same day I called him and fixed it."

Pool Construction and Installation questions, answered by experts

Surveys completed by licensed surveyors can be recorded with a local surveying records office, and in most cases, they will be. Filing survey reports categorize them as legal documents, and they can be used whenever legal documentation of your property’s boundaries is needed. While you’re not required to file survey documents, it’s a good idea to do so.

When planning for land survey costs, you should consider the following elements as major contributors to the overall cost:

  • Size of your property in terms of acres or square feet

  • Complexity of the terrain in terms of hills, elevation changes, rocks, water, and other features

  • Type of survey you need (boundary survey, topographic survey, or a combination of survey types)

  • Distance traveled for the professional surveyor

The small lines on the tape measure either indicate inches, fractions of an inch, or centimeters and millimeters. On the imperial unit side (aka the inches side), the longest lines indicate inches, followed by the next shortest lines that indicate a half-inch, and then the quarter, eighth, and sixteenth-inch. On the metric side, the lines break down meters, centimeters, and millimeters.

Yes, new home construction will always require building permits, no matter where you live. In most cases, you’ll need a general construction permit, along with plumbing and electrical permits for the utility lines in your home. Depending on where you live, you’ll likely find that you also need permits for things like connection to a sewage system or installing exterior components, like decks, driveways, patios, and curb cutouts. Leave navigating the permits required for new home construction to a professional to ensure your home is built legally and safely.

A few different types of land surveys can help determine certain features and boundaries of your property. These include:

  • Boundary surveys describe the actual borders of a property. These are generally required when trying to get construction permits issued.

  • Location surveys provide much of the same information as a boundary survey but also include in-depth information about any improvements made to your property.

  • Mortgage location surveys are usually required by lenders and title companies before financing or offering an insurance policy.

  • Site-planning surveys are done before applying for building permits and can be issued before any major home improvements.

  • Topographic surveys provide a formal map of land elevations. It can also describe the location and size of natural features and any land improvements.
