"Professional, knowledgeable and trustworthy company! Austin inspected our gutters following a recent storm and said they were in good shape and didn't need to be replaced. I appreciated that he didn't take advantage of my ignorance and use the opportunity to make a sale. He also repaired a leak that was damaging our living room ceiling free of charge while he was here. Without a doubt we will be using Easton Roofing for any roof or gutter needs we have in the future!"

"Cory Medina, from Collins Roofing, was easy to work with to determine best course of action to reroof our house. He attended the meeting with our insurance adjustor (when drones assessed the damage) and did the communication with our insurance company. No money up front was helpful. Start time was sooner than we anticipated (less than two weeks). Two crews (one for shingle removal and replacement) and second (Bryan Lewitzke) completed window rewraps, awning painting and gutter screen covers. Cory even suggested using black shingles instead of brown, which we agreed to and it looks GREAT with red brick. Would definitely recommend Collins Roofing for making a new, quality roof reasonable."

"Becker Exteriors made my new roof installation very easy, and they worked with my insurance company to handle the roofing claim directly. Highly recommend the work they do."

"Remmy contacted me quickly and came out the next day to check out my roof. Over the phone I told him I had a newborn so he was nice and called when he was outside instead of ringing the doorbell in case my son was sleeping. For the inspection he showed me pictures of what was wrong and what they would do to fix it. Remmy and his crew came out and fixed the problem quickly as well as making sure there was no other problems. They will always be my first to come to if I have roofing problems."

"Best quote we got, out of multiple roofers. Marvin would show up when he said he would. He started working by 6:30 am. Finished the roof in one day, and it looks great. He is a very hard worker. And the quote was the price I paid. He didn't try to over charge."

Roofing questions, answered by experts

In most cases, no, roofers won’t need to come inside. Some reasons roofers may need to come inside are to assess ventilation. inspect roof leaks, or check for any structural concerns.

Shingle damage comes in many forms, and the damage usually depends on the wind speed and the shape of the roof before the winds. Typically, when shingles are damaged by wind, they become torn, creased, or detached from the roof. Some might go missing entirely. More extensive roof damage might occur if a tree branch or other debris has fallen onto the roof as a result of the windstorm.

Many states require roofers to be licensed, and some states don’t mandate licensing. You can use Angi’s state licensing tool to check if a roofing company holds the proper licensing for your area. A licensed roofing contractor will provide reliable roof installation service, leading to a reduced risk of leaks in the future, which can be expensive to repair. Paying more for a licensed roofer upfront often means paying less over time.

Copper roof strips can last for 20 to 30 years or more if properly installed—in many cases, they may outlast your roof. Inspect your roof annually to ensure copper roof strips remain properly adhered and undamaged, and repair any loose or lifted strips. With very little upkeep, copper roof strips can protect your roof for decades to come.

The best material for your shed roof depends on your budget and personal preferences. For instance, if you’re looking for the most cost-effective option, rolled roofing is your best bet. Just be aware that it only lasts for five to eight years. If you prefer something with a longer life span (and you’re willing to pay for that durability), consider slate shingles, which can last for hundreds of years.
