"Excellent service. Very easy to book an appointment, Joe dropped the dumpster off at the exact date and time and picked it up exactly when I wanted. The dumpster was in new condition and easy to open and close the back door. I would absolutely use this dumpster service again."

Small jobs welcome

"The two young men were highly professional and got the job done, even though I didnt think they could because of the weight involved. They cleaned up and got a heavy, heavy wood stove out of my garage and into their truck, just the two of them. They did everything possible to accommodate me and I was very pleased when they left--with my cast iron wood stove in tow."

"We were in a bind to get move out trash picked up. They were able to come the same day and very reasonably priced. Great job loading and not a scrape of paper left. Family business. Would highly recommend."

"Showed up as promised and did a very nice job trimming our shrubs, removed a tree as well as a couple of shrubs we wanted to have removed, and cleaned up afterwards. We will be a repeat customer and certainly recommend them to anyone who plans for the type of service they provided us."

Garbage Collection questions, answered by experts

Most garbage disposals have a reset button that can be triggered with a tool as simple and accessible as your index finger. That said, if you need to perform a more in-depth troubleshooting step, like manually moving the arms inside the unit or rotating the impeller plate, a hex wrench is the most common tool you’ll need. Most garbage disposals come with a hex wrench.

Garbage disposals are durable appliances that usually last at least eight years as long as you clean and maintain them. It’s relatively rare for a garbage disposal to break on its own, as most malfunctions happen due to user errors, like overstuffing the grinding compartment or damaging the blades by trying to dispose of metal or bone. Eventually, cracks or leaks could develop in the unit, which requires a full replacement.

Never put glass in the garbage disposal. It can damage your disposal or eject shards of glass out of the disposal and cause injury. If you get broken glass in your garbage disposal, turn it off and cut the power from the breaker, use a tool like pliers or tongs to remove the glass, and use a wet-dry vacuum to remove the remaining glass pieces. If you can’t access the disposal safely, call a garbage disposal repair pro.

No, you do not need a garbage disposal to have a dishwasher. A dishwasher will work without one, and while it's rare to see a home with a dishwasher that doesn't have a disposal, it is possible. The two appliances pair well and are often installed together because a disposal simplifies meal cleanup.

However, your dishwasher should not be used as a replacement for a garbage disposal. Subjecting it to continuous food leftovers can lead to major clogs. If you choose not to install a garbage disposal, you should thoroughly rinse your plates or scrape excess food into the trash or a compost pile before loading them into the dishwasher to prevent plumbing issues.

If the cost of repairing a leaking garbage disposal is close to the cost of replacing the disposal, then fixing the unit might not make sense. When deciding if you should repair or replace your garbage disposal, consider the age of your garbage disposal, the cost of the repair, and whether your garbage disposal has had other problems recently to help you decide if the cost of repairing the leak is better than the cost of replacing the disposal.
