Over 20 years providing residential handyman services, painting, flooring installation, general carpentry, existing plumbing and electrical work, hang blinds, curtains, pictures, lights, ceiling fans and many more services!

"Pasted below is the text I sent to the painter. I also sent pictures that I wish I could include here. The inside of the closet was already white and did not need painting but I asked him to bring the was color around the corner about Five inches, that would be the inner edge of the top straight down to the start of the baseboard inside the closet. What I got was a squiggly, messy line that range from 2 - 4 inches. Behind the bathroom door between the frame and wall edge were left unpainted, the same with the mirror above the sink. The we also area's the paint had missed in strips and around the towel bar. I sent Stephen the text hoping I would hear back with an apology and an offer to fix it. It has been a week and he has yet to respond. Text sent Friday August 28, 2020 Stephen, over all I'm happy with the job you did but while I appreciate your getting in and getting it done I do wish you would have slowed down just a bit because a great job is in the details. Nothing I can't fix but I shouldn't need to fix. I would have been happy to run to the store for painters tape if you found you didn't have any with you. I feel bad saying anything about this to you but customer referrals and review are the life line of a small business. If I feel like the service I received went above and beyond my expectations I make sure to leave a fantastic review and recommend to any friend, family member or patient in need of those services. My father was a small business owner. But if I am less than impressed I feel it is important to give the business owner feed back so they know why they might not be getting many referrals or glowing reviews. I hope you take it as intended, just as a heads up to what customers are seeing and thinking upon a close look at the finished product."

Trusted handyman services, and general contractor serving St. Louis and the surrounding area. Whether the job is big or small our home improvement experts can tackle it updates from installing ceiling fans to repairing leaking sink to new bathroom or kitchen.

"I would never hire this contractor to do any kind of work in my home. He scammed me out of thousands of dollars then did all sorts of work that was not up to code. I had to hire another contractor to re-do the work. The plumbing was all wrong. The electrical had to be redone. It was a disaster. So after 12 weeks without a kitchen, we had to fire him and hire someone else to do the job right."

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

You can expect your carpet protection to last about six months to two years. It will last longer in low-traffic areas (compared to busy areas, where your carpet experiences more wear and tear). Once the protector wears off, you’ll need to call your carpet contractor to reapply the stain protection treatment and revive your carpet

The life span of carpet in a home with children and animals depends on factors like the carpet material’s quality, how frequently you clean and maintain it, and the level of foot traffic. On average, carpets need to be replaced every five to 15 years. Signs of wear, matting, or persistent odors may indicate that it's time to contact a local flooring company to replace your carpet.

With proper care, carpet tile can last 10 to 20 years. These tiles are used in office settings and are designed to handle heavy foot traffic. However, tiles can start to look a little less fresh over time in super busy homes with pets and kids. Keeping extra tiles on hand to swap out will ensure your carpet looks its best.

Installing carpet padding is mostly a matter of measuring the room and cutting the carpet pad to size with a utility knife. You can save some money on carpet installation costs by doing it yourself. Before installing the carpet padding, you should install the tack strips around the room’s perimeter and prepare the subfloor by cleaning and making any necessary repairs. Then, unroll the carpet pad and cut sections as needed. Staple the carpet pad to the subfloor along the edges, leaving the tack strips exposed.

Taking carpet off stairs is an easy but multi-step process you can usually do yourself. If you have the right tools, time, and oomph to finish the job, removing carpet from stairs can be an easy-to-medium difficulty task, depending on your stairs, the type of carpet installed, and how willing you are to get your hands dirty. It’s important to review the process, gather the right tools before you begin, and follow a tutorial or directions while you work.
