Overall, good service, and very attentive to customer needs.
They came back and checked multiple times, eventually having to remove the baseboards so that the walls could dry, but they were so minimally invasive that replacing the baseboards was simple and you can't tell anything has happened.
He was very reasonably priced and gives a great discount for Angies list members.
Highly recommended
After getting an outlandish bid from a local ServPro franchise (note that we had a different franchise location remedy the same problem 6 weeks prior), my next call was to The Flood Company. Boy am I glad it was. Steve answered his phone and just happened to be doing a job very close to us. He stopped by our home less than 45 minutes later and assessed the problem. Not only that, his bid was very reasonable and he didn't try and sell us on equipment we didn't need, especially knowing that we were paying out of pocket.
Unlike our previous experience with the other service provider, Steve didn't feel that a dehumidifier was necessary, and pulled up the corners of the carpet in the effected areas and strategically placed 5 fans to dry out the space. He then treated all of the trouble spots with microban to prevent mold/mildew.
He came back a few days later to check in on the progress and decided to leave the fans in a little longer, just to be sure everything was dry. He made sure to note that the smell will go away as soon as everything was completely dry. A few days later, the smell was gone and shortly after that, Steve came back to pick up the equipment.
We're already scheduling some basement waterproofing work in the very near future, so we hope to not experience this problem again in the future. If we do, Steve and The Flood Company are the first and only people we're going to call. The peace of mind we were left with knowing that he could come over and start the drying process that same day, and not have to wait until I was out of town for work and unable to help with the scheduling was a huge relief.
