Steve was very responsive and got the job done. He also alerted me to the possibility of breakers tripping so I could warn my tenants. I would highly recommend and I will use him again.

Steve, owner of The Flood Company, was prompt in answering his phone when I called. His company was one of the three that Angie's List recommended and I was happy that I called him. He came within hour and a half of calling him to take care of the water damage. Other two companies were not available until late in the afternoon. With water damage, it is imperative to get it mitigated soon and Steve came immediately. I thought it would cost me a fortune, but Steve gave me a competitive price that I didn't have to shop around at all. I will recommend The Flood Company for all your water mitigation needs.

Steve and Team are the best, on my first time hiring I had discovered the basement was full of water from a leaking hot water heater, he was over within a half hour to remove the water and then place blowers throughout the basement that he sets up to leave for several days to make sure any excess moisture dust seep up walls etc.... The second cleanup was roughly the same amount of water but I discovered on what is likely a busy time for all people in this business with freezing pipes etc. and Sunday morning at 7:30 a.m. , so I was a bit hesitant to even try to call. However, I did and of course Steve and team were here within a couple hours offering me a great price on the cleanup. While I really hope I don't continue to have water issues in my basement I know for sure who I will call if I do. The Flood Company!

It was excellent. Called Steve right away, he was at my house in about 20 minutes, checked out the damage in the basement, quoted us a price and was back within an hour or so with his crew pumping all of the water out and getting the equipment set up to dry the basement out. Steve and his team saved our basement, carpet, drywall, padding, all of it. Came back days later checked everything and it all looked great! Steve always contacted us before he was coming by or to just check and see how things were looking. He communicated everything clearly. He even re stretched the carpet for us! He is an overall great guy and runs a wonderful company. A+++++++ from me! No other company beat him, he's by far the best and very knowledgeable about what he does! If I ever have water or smoke damage again, he will be the first person I call. I will never use a different company. The other companies are way over priced and aren't even friendly, and wanted to just tear all the carpet and padding out and throw it away.. didn't even want to do their job! The Flood Company is not like that at all! From the time you call to the time they are done, it's a pleasant experience. Thanks again Steve and the Flood Company for all of your hard work!

Steve arrived on time to perform the carpet stretching and was very knowledgable and very professional. He explained to us how he would do the job because the carpet was in poor shape. He did an excellent job ... better than we expected. He smoothed out a rippling carpet that I thought was beyond repair. Great job. Andy arrived later in the day to perform the carpet cleaning. He was also very nice and did an amazing job cleaning a very worn carpet. The pricing was very reasonable and quality outstanding. I would not hesitate to call them again next time. I highly recommend the services of this company.

Our basement was flooded on Monday from the storm drain in the basement. Steve came out the same day and moved furniture and removed carpet. They sprayed anti bacterial spray and set up multiple large fans to dry the area. They were friendly and easy to work with and at a good price.

Steve, the owner of the company, and another worker showed up on time and dug right into determining the amount and location of damage caused by the earlier leak. They were quick to respond and finished the job with no problems and no surprises.

We had used this company at our home previously, so when the basement at an investment property flooded in a big storm, they were our first call.  Even though tons of people were having issues (it was after a gigantic rainstorm in December that flooded the entire city), Steve remembered working on our home and got to the property the same day. They were able to get all of the water out and get the place drying, and then repeated the process the following days after more rain and more flooding--- all while we were out of town!  Steve called regularly to update us on the progress and kept us informed on next steps.  He left fans in the home for a week to ensure that it was dried properly.  His employees came out and tested the walls to make sure everything was dry before removing the fans.  Everything in the basement was brand new (flooring, drywall, paint) and his prompt and thorough work saved us from having to replace anything!  We would definitely use this company again and recommend them highly!

The Flood Company responded very quickly and professionally to my call and had the standing water removed from my basement within hours of flooding which minimized the amount of water absorbed into wood/ walls.  They immediately set up high-capacity floor fans and dehumidifiers throughout the basement which allowed for complete drying within 2-days.  They suggested we leave the fans/ dehumidifiers in place for at least 3 days to ensure drying and followed up by checking all areas of the basement for moisture prior to removing equipment.  This was our first encounter with flooding in our basement and The Flood Company was able to help us minimize any water damage/ loss.

They quickly setup over a dozen dryers and two dehumidifiers on day one. They also came back several times to measure moisture levels, adjust fan locations, and monitor progress. To help the drying process, they also removed some damaged ceiling that could not be salvaged.
Overall, good service, and very attentive to customer needs.

,I just used The Flood Co to dry a small area of wet carpet in my finished basement.  It was clear water from my furnace but I still worried about mold forming.  They came quickly and set up 3 fans and a dehumidifier, sprayed with a mold and bacteria killing agent, and asked me to let them run for three days.  I was surprised by how little carpet they needed to pull from the baseboard and fold back.  After 3 days they returned to reinstall the carpet  and it was like it had never been disturbed.  I was very pleased with their work..

Steve and his associates were 100% professional and present at all times they were needed.  I felt taken care of the whole time.  There was one moment when Steve first told me the fans were going to have to stay longer when I thought "ok, here come the surcharges." But then Steve told me there would be extra charge and that the fans and dehumidifiers would stay in my house until the job was done!
They came back and checked multiple times, eventually having to remove the baseboards so that the walls could dry, but they were so minimally invasive that replacing the baseboards was simple and you can't tell anything has happened.
He was very reasonably priced and gives a great discount for Angies list members.
Highly recommended

It all went very smoothly. Steve and his crew arrived on time, and they did all the work as agreed on. The next day I noticed a few spots that they had missed, and they finished the job promptly and to my satisfaction. My basement went from being a really cluttered and dirty space to being REALLY CLEAN! (Of course, I had sorted out the "junk" and clearly marked what was to be hauled away and what was to stay. ) I did not have to "supervise" the work crew: they did a great job on their own. They were also very pleasant during the entire day and a half that this job took. The company owner,Steve, said "you pay me when you are happy with the job" and he means it. I paid him on the second day of the job, and I would highly recommend this company.

Friday 5/31/13, we got our second torrential rain of the season, which resulted in the second time this spring that we received a significant amount of water in the basement. Once again, the finished portion of the basement was effected, so we needed more than just a quick cleanup.
After getting an outlandish bid from a local ServPro franchise (note that we had a different franchise location remedy the same problem 6 weeks prior), my next call was to The Flood Company. Boy am I glad it was. Steve answered his phone and just happened to be doing a job very close to us. He stopped by our home less than 45 minutes later and assessed the problem. Not only that, his bid was very reasonable and he didn't try and sell us on equipment we didn't need, especially knowing that we were paying out of pocket.
Unlike our previous experience with the other service provider, Steve didn't feel that a dehumidifier was necessary, and pulled up the corners of the carpet in the effected areas and strategically placed 5 fans to dry out the space. He then treated all of the trouble spots with microban to prevent mold/mildew.
He came back a few days later to check in on the progress and decided to leave the fans in a little longer, just to be sure everything was dry. He made sure to note that the smell will go away as soon as everything was completely dry. A few days later, the smell was gone and shortly after that, Steve came back to pick up the equipment.
We're already scheduling some basement waterproofing work in the very near future, so we hope to not experience this problem again in the future. If we do, Steve and The Flood Company are the first and only people we're going to call. The peace of mind we were left with knowing that he could come over and start the drying process that same day, and not have to wait until I was out of town for work and unable to help with the scheduling was a huge relief.

Within several hours of calling James arrived at my home about 8 in the evening, with a smile and reassurance that he would make things right.  He was professional and quick to get things set up.  He listened to my needs and got all the water off the floor and started the fans drying out the walls.  I was concerned about spraying the microban because I have small dogs.  He reassured me that once it was dry it would not be a hazard for the dogs or for me.  He sent me upstairs with instructions to not come downstairs for 1 hour.  He sprayed and closed up my house After 36 hours there was no more moldy, wet smell in my home.  After 5 days Steve came and quickly broke down the fans and dehumidifier and left my house dry.

Due to a heavy amount of rain our basement had a significant amount of water.  Steve was very helpful and was able to show up early the next morning.  He made sure everything was 100% dry before removing the fans from my basement.   Great experience.

Between some invasive tree roots in a drain tile that carries water away from our basement and some heavy rains, we came home to find 2 inches of water in our entire basement. While we had most of the water soaked up when Steve's crew showed up, they instantly went into action by taking moisture readings of all of the floors as well as the walls. They set up the necessary number of industrial fans and dehumidifiers to begin the drying process. Our price was a fixed price so even though we ended up needing part of the equipment for twice the number of days estimated, our price did not change. Steve, the owner of the company, came out three additional times to take readings and inspect for mold. Fortunately, we were able to save the carpet, drywall, and nearly everything in the basement. To top it off, Steve, who had years of experience installing flooring, when he was certain everything was dry, stretched the carpet and made everything look as if there was never a problem! I also appreciated how Steve would call us 5-10 minutes before arriving each time just to give us a head's up that he was near by.
