Got this company through previous Angie reviews. I couldn't have been happier. Made call about 3 days before Christmas and because there were no emergency issues, it was agreed that he would get to it whenever he could get us in. I assumed that because of the holidays that it would probably be sometime after the New Year. He actually called and came before Christmas Eve. Although I wasn't home when he arrived, my wife was very impressed with his professionalism, promptness and work. This is a perfect example of how Angie's List should work. It provided us with a company that we will absolutely use in the future and recommend to our friends and neighbors. Also, because neither my wife or I had ever owned a home with septic before, we had no idea what the cost would be. It was considerably less than most people told us to expect

Very pleased. Due to rural area, they called a head of time to confirm that they were on their way. Reasonable price.

Excellent service. Arrived on time for an estimate, located the tank on the first try, and gave options with the price of each. On the date of service, he showed up on time, dug access by hand (to avoid damage to the yard), installed the riser, pumped/cleaned the tank, and charged exactly the estimated price. Will definitely use again

Robert and his team are amazing to work with. I have called this company many times in the past with regard to plumbing needs and septic issues. Robert is very knowledgeable. The work is done on time and as scheduled and the prices are reasonable. I might add that Robert is exceptionally knowledgeable on septic systems and well water systems in addition to plumbing. He solved 3 major issues for me with extensive work and at a reasonable price. I was very happy with the work and highly recommend this company

  • H & H Septic Service Inc
I was impressed immediately beginning with the phone call to ask about an estimate. They were polite and profession. He provided the estimate and told me that he could be there on Monday (and he was). I did not have to meet him (take a day off work) at my house because he left the bill in the door (greatly appreciated). I explained on the phone how to drive to the back of my property but he explained how he had 175 feet of hose so he didn't put ruts in the lawn. Again, that was nicely appreciated

  • B&J Septic Pumping LLC
We had our main line from the house to our septic tank clogged. I called and they were willing to come the same evening, auger the line and get us up and running again. The staff that came were very polite and friendly. Besides being able to run water in the house again, they are VERY reasonably priced! I highly recommend their services and will use them again the next time we have a problem

  • Contact Central Missouri Home Inspections LLC
Arrived in a timely manner and was very thorough. Invited me to observe the inspection and answered my questions about what I was seeing in a patient, informed manner. As a first time home owner, I didn't even know where the water cutoff valve was but Keith made sure I was completely comfortable with what I was seeing in the way of the construction of the house. My report was really easy to read and follow. I did call him once (after having the report) to ask a question about my panel box and he explained what the different types of boxes were and how they worked. Made a lot of sense to me and helped me when I was talking to my insurance company about what I was trying to insure

My husband called on a Monday afternoon when he had a break from work to get a call in. When making the appt they said they could have someone out first thing tomorrow. We didnt know they made special arrangements to come out a half hour before they opened! My husband missed less work then we thought. Thank you Eric and Josh these are the servicemen we dealt with, for coming out early! They were great very personable, knowledgable and got the job done, they represented the company well. We will definetly use King Septic again

Septic Tank Service FAQ

  1. What are the signs your septic tank is full?

Answer: There are several signs that indicate your septic tank could be full. These include standing water over your septic tank, a strong odor coming from your yard, gurgling water, slow drains, or a sewage backup. While many of these signs could also be indicative of a clogged system, they should all be checked out by a professional ASAP to avoid costly damages. In the absence of any of these signs, it’s recommended that septic tanks be emptied every 3 to 5 years on average.

  2. How often should a septic tank be serviced?

Answer: On average, septic tanks should be serviced every 3 to 5 years in the absence of any worrying signs that the tank is clogged or full. The size of your septic tank, the number of people living in your home, and your average water usage will all impact how often your septic tank needs to be serviced.

  3. What are the most common causes of septic tank failure?

Answer: The most common cause of septic tank failure is improper maintenance. Failing to pump a septic tank on the appropriate schedule will cause septic tank failure and likely result in a costly septic tank repair or replacement. On average, septic tanks should be pumped every 3 to 5 years, but the size of your tank, the number of people in your home, and your average water usage may shorten or extend this timeframe.

  4. How much does it cost to pump a septic tank?

Answer: The cost to pump a septic tank is $400 on average or about $0.30 per gallon. The size of your septic tank, as well as local labor costs, will impact the cost of pumping your septic tank. Most septic tanks are between 600 and 2,000 gallons in size, meaning the average cost range is between $180 to $600.

  5. How much does it cost to install a septic system?

Answer: The cost to install a septic tank system is between $3,060 and $9,810, on average. The size of the septic tank you choose, the land you’re installing it on, the type of system you choose, and local labor costs will all influence the total cost of installing a septic system. Anaerobic septic tanks (those that don’t need oxygen) typically cost between $3,000 and $8,000. Aerobic systems, which utilize oxygen to activate bacteria and are popular on smaller properties, usually cost between $10,000 and $20,000.

  6. How long does a septic system last?

Answer: When septic systems are well maintained, they can last up to 30 years or more. If a septic system isn’t properly maintained, such as when it isn’t pumped regularly, it may malfunction and require costly repairs or a premature replacement. In general, septic tank pumping is recommended every 3 to 5 years to ensure the septic system lasts as long as possible.
