Recent Pool Installers Reviews in Osage Beach

  • The Comfort Center
First and foremost, you need to know that Comfort Center is only the building and sales staff on Woodbine. As far as I know, they don't actually install pools, open or close pools, or clean pools. They may say they do, but they contract ALL of that out to the lowest bidder. We have actually had their contractors come out to open and clean our pool and they knew "NOT ONE THING" about a pool. Nothing about the chemicals, nothing about how to turn the pump on, and certainly not how to clean it. That was the last straw with us, we ended any relationship with them after that. I can hire someone to do any of that and actually make sure they have "SEEN" a pool before. The installation of the pool, again all by contractors, wen fairly well. Some issues did result. They tore up the entire backyard and ripped wires and pipes out of the ground with reckless abandon. The cable wire was cut a total of 3 times. I was disappointed that after they poured all of the concrete, they accidentally kicked a bunch of rocks into the pool area and didn't bother to pick them up or sweep them up. They just put the flimsy vinyl liner right on top of them. You can feel them under the liner with your feet and it is just a matter of time before they make a hole. If you just remember that The Comfort Center does nothing but sales and everything else is contracted out to the lowest bidder, you will be more informed than I was

Advanced Pools withdrew funds from our financial institution without our permission or knowledge three to four weeks prior to performing services for us. On the date of the services, Advanced pools showed up two to three hours late. Advance pools immediately began declaring additional increases in the previous estimate they had given to us over the phone for closing our pool, even though our pool is less than 12,000 gals (a patio pool). We immediately stated we were not in agreement to pay the additional unforeseen increases. At that time the owner stated we would pay it or he woulld pull off the job. I again stated I was not willing to pay an additional two to three hundred dollars on top of the $375.00 he had provided in his estimate. He then instructed his guy to start gathering up their equipment and began leaving my property with the pool half empty, equipment, skimmers and parts laying all over the place. We ended up having to call another company in that could not close the pool on that day but did hurry out to put our pool back together in order to prevent leaves and debris from the trees (we're in the middle of fall) from getting into our pool plumbing system and ruining it. As the Advanced Pool people were leaving, the owner turned and smiled and said "Have a good day". We have made numerous attempts at contacting Advanced pools requesting a refund of our money paid for services that were not rendered. So far we have made over 9 attempts and no one will answer our calls, emails or any other means to resolve this situation. Advance pools is completely ignoring our attempts to contact them. I might also add that the owner was instructed two to three times not to dump the saltwater on our drive as it could possibly run off into the lawn and cause damage. He did so in spite of the owner's request and allowed approx 4 to 5 thousand gallons of saltwater to run onto our lawn, down the street and across onto the neighbor's lawn in front of us. They were also informed that there were two 10 in drain tiles attached to each of the drains in the bottom of the deep end of the pool that would allow the water level to drop drastically and also prevent the water from coming in contact with the lawn. Damages unknown at this time. I have filed with the BBB and will be contacting an attorney to file for our money along with damages sustained and additional cost incurred as a result of this company's unethical behavior. Advance pools had total disregard for the shape that they left our pool in...knowing they were the ones that disassembled the equipment, leaving us in potential damage of pool failure and damage as a result of salt being dumped onto our lawn. Stay away from Advanced Pools. They are unprofessional and extremely pronounced on unethical business practices
