"They are very timely whenever we need them and are always available when we call them. We have a new home and they have been really great to work with. They fixed and maintained the yard since we moved in and they will also be doing our landscaping project in the spring. They can do everything we have asked them to do. They are one of the best in Jefferson City and these guys are the ones that you should absolutely call."

Landscaping questions, answered by experts

You should use mulch because it protects garden soil in a few key ways. This extra layer between the ground and the elements protects against erosion, helps your soil maintain moisture, regulates changes in temperature, adds nutrients as it decomposes, and keeps weeds at bay.

Monkey grass isn’t too picky when it comes to light conditions: It needs sun but prefers partial shade. While it can tolerate full sun, it thrives in environments with partial shade (around four to six hours of sunlight per day). The black mondo grass variety is the most tolerant of heat from direct sunlight.

Lakefront landscaping offers benefits such as enhancing aesthetic appeal, increasing property value, supporting ecological balance, and providing recreational opportunities while preserving the shoreline's natural beauty.

DIY landscaping is possible, but professional services offer expertise in selecting appropriate plants and designing functional spaces that complement the natural environment and adhere to local regulations.

The best landscaping for a septic drain field is shallow-rooted grass or native vegetation that helps prevent soil erosion while allowing water to evaporate efficiently. Avoid planting trees, shrubs, or deep-rooted plants near the drain field because the roots can infiltrate pipes and cause blockages. Using mulch or gravel sparingly can also help retain moisture and protect the system without restricting airflow.
