"Time will tell but seemed knowledgeable, they were very informative for us during the inspection and before and their report is well laid out with all that they reviewed including relevant pictures (with arrows, circles on important parts)."

"Troy Galloway did an awesome job inspecting our new home. He provided us with a very thorough report and was even available for multiple follow-up questions. On top of that, he was by far the most affordable of the quotes I received. He was such a pleasure to deal with throughout the entire process. Highly recommend."

Small jobs welcome

"Fantastic experience. Flexible with scheduling. Thorough inspection and very informative - Jacob is very knowledgeable about historic brick homes in the area. My home was drastically renovated prior to me purchasing and I had always had some concerns about the structure. Some recent anomalies made me decide to hire an engineer to inspect. I know have piece of mind and documented confirmation that the home is structurally sound. Pricing was very reasonable - just an awesome interaction overall."

"I am very pleased with the job done by Quacker's Waterproofing and by my interaction with them.  Such a nice young man!  Personable and friendly.  I felt comfortable with him in my home.  He did an extraordinary job and cleaned up so thoroughly that I think that area is cleaner now than before he came and fixed the crack.  He did the job quickly and with a minimum of intrusion.  I was very pleased with him and with Quacker's and would definitely use them again and recommend them highly.  I will have no fears when the next rainstorm heads our way.  My basement will be dry.

"Hello - we had our 2nd project with Triton done, installing a new roof. In the process of having the siding/gutters installed, Dave inspected the roof and given the age and condition, suggested a new roof. He sent a reasonable quote and within the same week, materials arrived and it was installed! He worked hard to get it done that timely before the gutters were installed. The team of 6 installers did an amazing job and cleaned up everything after the installation - didn't even know they'd been there! I can't thank Dave, Chris and the installation team enough for being so great to work with, responsive and thorough! Thank you, thank you, thank you!"

"The gentleman seemed more interested in the hail damage and me getting an insurance inspection to verify damage so he could replace the roof. No repairs, no inside look for leaks, no pictures of damage with summary report In other words, they did not provide what was offered"

"We just had our deck replaced by Intelligent Roofing and Exteriors and couldnâ t be happier. The folks at Intelligent Roofing and Exteriors were attentive and understanding of our needs for this project. From start to finish they were in touch with us and followed up promptly with all the calls we made to them. Beginning with Tom who made arrangements to come to our home later in the afternoon beyond normal work hours to accommodate my wifeâ s late schedule. He was able to provide us with a myriad of options and deck colors and materials. When we decided to use them for our project, Tom returned and arranged financing for us as well. After our decision to use Intelligent Roofing and Exteriors and financing was secured, Shannon promptly came to the house and photographed our old deck, took measurements, and explained the project details to us. He then drew up the plans for our new deck and emailed them to us within 24 hours. He also submitted the plans for approval to the county and obtained all necessary permits. Mary worked with us to schedule a start date for the project and ensured that the dumpster and all materials were on site for the start of the project. She also called after the project started to make sure we were satisfied with the work being done. The crew that did our work was a father and son team, Rob, and Robert. They were on site every morning by 6:45.M. and worked nonstop until 4:00 PM. They were truly craftsmen and the job they did was beautiful. On top of their carpentry skills the project called for an 8â X10â concrete pad. Rob did a fantastic job on that part of the project as well. To top it off, after the project was completed, they moved my rather large 450 lb smoker/grill combo onto the pad on their own without my asking them. I was very appreciative of that. All in all, this was the best experience I have ever had with any contractor work I have ever had done. I will highly recommend Intelligent Roofing and Exteriors to anyone looking for work done to their homes."

Home Inspection questions, answered by experts

Yes. Chimneys should be inspected annually to ensure they are in safe working order. Inspectors check the chimney for cracks, leaks, blockages, creosote buildup, and other problems that could result in structural damage to your home, fire hazards, or carbon monoxide poisoning. A yearly inspection is the best way to identify potential issues before they can cause damage to you or your home.

Systems should be checked every 2-3 years or whenever signs of age appear, maintaining network integrity and safety at all times.

These are some of the critical considerations when planning to make your home accessible:

  • How wide are your doorways, wheelchair ramps, hallways, and pathways? These should be at least 32 inches wide.

  • Which bathroom modifications will be necessary?

  • Do you need to lower any cabinetry or other fixtures to make them accessible for wheelchair users?

  • Is there enough room to turn around in the shower?

  • Is there a second story of the home that requires a stair lift?

  • Is there proper lighting outside in the dark? If not, a floodlight may be necessary.

Failing to open your flue can lead to serious health hazards if you start a fire because the smoke will back up into your home. Breathing fire smoke, even in relatively small quantities, is bad for human lungs, and smoke can also irritate your nasal passages and eyes. Furthermore, smoke can cause damage to your interior fixtures and furnishings, at the very least leaving an unpleasant smoky smell for a long time. In short: If your flue isn’t open (or you’re not sure if it is or not), don’t start a fire to find out!

Yes, suggesting repairs, gutter cleaning, and sealing as needed.
