After discussing the job and getting the bid assigning the contracts, everything moved flawlessly, Dean’s tile man is meticulous and so professional about what his work looks like I couldn’t be any more satisfied with the job especially when they started it one day and I left town with my wife the next day we settled up before I left on the bill and Dean sent me pictures of the finished product the following day my kitchen looks amazing the backsplash and the accent work down on my half wall turned out better than my wife could’ve ever expected. You know when you’re a DYII guy and you look at a job and you go. This looks like too much and you hire the professional I’m a DY guy, but I hired a professional so so happy I did. "It did not go well at all. He's a nice guy. He continually ran out of money through the project and kept forwarding money on the contract and then finally he just didn't ever show up and did not complete the project. I tried to contact him several times but he did not respond. So basically we're out of money from whatever we had paid him. I just wanted people to be aware of that."

Tile installation costs about $2,000 on average. Costs vary widely depending on the installation site, the size of the area, the type of tile, the complexity of the design or pattern, and your home’s location. Glass, ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone are all excellent choices for tiling a shower floor. Some glazed finishes can be slippery when wet. Your tiling contractor can provide more information on which tiles will work best for your shower floor.

Tile will almost always last longer than laminate flooring, regardless of the type of tile installed. Porcelain tile can last for 75 years or more with proper care, and even less durable ceramic tile will last for 60 years or more, provided they’re installed by a tile professional. As such, tile will add far more value to your home than laminate.

There isn’t a one-size-fits-all best tile for a dog shower. Consider your budget, tile durability, aesthetics, and, most importantly, practicality. Avoid tiles your dog will slide around on. Pebbles are a great non-slip option, but are pricey and tricky to install. Glass might look modern, but it’s not scratch-resistant. Small, floor-rated ceramic or porcelain tiles are economical and have many grout lines that make the surface more slip-resistant. Pick a matte finish rather than a shiny tile if you want it to hide stray mud and hairs better.

Altering the layout of your bathroom will make a big difference as moving or adding plumbing quickly inflates your total bill. While you can recoup more of your cost (in home value terms) by adding a bathroom, rearranging the layout won’t affect your home’s sticker value. However, strategic placements that allow more light or better flow may increase buyer interest.
