"Very well, we are very happy with the quality of craftsmanship from Deano Tile. Nervous about the 2'x4' porcelain tile installation and it looks amazing! We will be using Deano Tile again for our basement bathroom later."

"Very professional and knowledgeable about tile and grout services. Always on time for appointments. Provided suggestions and solutions to meet our needs. We had about 700 sq. ft. of tile and grout cleaned and color sealed. The end product is beautiful. "Dan and his team were excellent. They were very communicative and had good ideas for various floors. The tile and new wood staining came out great. I would definitely use them again. Dan was sure to make sure everything came out right - even redid a good portion of the stain when we thought they might be finished. He definitely expects the absolute best."

Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can tile over existing tiles in a bathroom, but it is not always recommended. For this method to be successful, the original tile surface must be clean, flat, and free of damage such as cracks, unevenness, mold, or mildew. While tiling over existing tiles can save time and money, there are potential drawbacks. The new adhesive may not bond properly, and the process adds extra weight to the wall or floor. Additionally, the increased height of the surface could interfere with door clearances. For the best and most durable results, removing the old tiles before installing new ones is generally the better option.

You can let the tile sit without grout. Don’t panic if there’s a delay between installing the tiles and grouting. A substantial stoppage isn't a problem, provided you keep the tile surface clear of dust and debris. Also, avoid walking over less stable ungrouted floor tiles as they are more prone to premature cracking and shifting.

Installations typically take 1-3 days, depending on area size; repairs are usually completed sooner if the issue is localized.

Tile will almost always last longer than laminate flooring, regardless of the type of tile installed. Porcelain tile can last for 75 years or more with proper care, and even less durable ceramic tile will last for 60 years or more, provided they’re installed by a tile professional. On the other hand, laminate flooring has an average lifespan of around 20 years, and you might only get 10 to 15 years out of low-cost laminate flooring. As such, tile will add far more value to your home than laminate.

The number of shower niches you need (or want) depends on the size of the shower and how many bathroom products you plan on storing. If you keep it simple with just soap and shampoo, the one shower niche will probably do the trick. But if you’re adding scrubs and soaks, you may need to think about installing two or more.
