"Jeff and his team are great. We had to have the septic inspected and pumped to sell our house and they were very easy to work with and experienced. Moving is stressful and they did everything with short notice. Would highly recommend this company. I'm going to use them again at my new residence."

"I am completely in love with my new shower that Bath Pro KC did for me last week! I had an ancient tub and shower wall insert, and redesigning it was one of the last major cosmetic upgrades I was itching to make to my house. After receiving a few bids, I opted to hire Bath Pro KC, as not only was their pricing incredibly competitive in comparison to the others, but I simply liked Steve and his approach to the bidding process the most. He was extremely communicable about the timeline in which the project would be done, options, colors, and of course pricing. I had a clear vision of what I wanted done, and they were able to make it happen! I had one very precise requirement in regards to the new shower head and its GPM/flow rate, and Steve absolutely listened to my concerns and researched the products available to make it happen with a beautiful Moen product that I am 100% thrilled with. The old shower was demolished down to the studs, and new water lines with shut off valves and a drain were put in along with new drywall and an Onyx shower system. I went with the glacier white pan, subway tiles in the white snow swirl, a shave bar, 4 shelves, the Moen shower head and valve, and sliding glass doors. I really love this Onyx system they use, it looks and feels like luxurious stone/tile but doesn't come with the hassle (and eventual deterioration) of grout. The installation took 2 days and the tech was extremely respectful of the space, moving in and around the house between the shower and his work truck, and making sure to always check in when decisions needed to be made in regards to shelf spacing, shower head height, etc. Their lead time at the time of when I booked them was 5 months, which is a long time to wait. But if you're willing to be patient, I think it says many great things about a business that they're so busy with happy clients, you have to wait a bit to have your job done. That means they're in demand based upon a stellar reputation, and do the job well! And that was exactly my experience. Thank you!"

"The workers, Austin Vickers and Todd Lucas, were professional and did an exceptional job. They replaced our old tub and shower with a new walk-in shower along with replacing the plumbing. They did a 5-star job and I would highly recommend these workers and West Shore Home to anyone needing work on their home."

"Our house was built in 1927. Floors were inside outside carpeting that was green, had a major plumbing problem that ran from the basement to the second story. You could see holes threw it, it was part of the sewer line or sewer gas, I am not sure being a girl. Bathroom floor was so rotted you could see the basement. Our cabinets were original and so where the counter tops. The bathroom was put into a closest and you could see the electrical through a plastic tube. Electrical and plumbing was a mess being how old the house was.
I thought and thought about fixing my house and after 10 years I decided too. Thought my house was going to be a big pit during Christmas but they did everything they could to make myself and my family comfortable. They finished the job on time, fixed the old parts that needed fixing, kept the ones that didn't. Was very patient when I changed my mind several times. The reason why I went with them because they do it all. If I had to have several workers doing several different things and not timing things right it would have been a disaster. One company to fix it all was my choice. I will certainly give them a call when I redo the second floor of the house!

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

Routine plumbing maintenance requires winterizing outdoor hose bibs and insulating pipes in unheated spaces to prevent freeze damage. Because MO has hard water, flush your water heater annually to remove damaging sediment buildup. Test your sump pump before spring rains arrive to prevent basement flooding. For older properties, schedule regular drain clearing to remove invasive tree roots from sewer lines.

Helpful?

When planning plumbing projects, check your specific property jurisdiction, as Lawson city limits and rural areas have different rules. Hard water in this region causes pipe scaling over time, so consider water treatment options. Additionally, shifting clay soils in MO affect underground pipes during freeze-thaw cycles. For rural properties, agricultural runoff requires careful well water testing and specialized filtration.

Helpful?

Opening walls during plumbing projects regularly reveals failing pipes that demand immediate replacement to meet current codes. Heavy clay soils in Lawson make outdoor excavation difficult, extending labor timelines. You must also account for mandatory permits and multiple inspections. Finally, harsh winter freeze events cause hidden hairline cracks in pipes that only become apparent once water flows through them again.

Helpful?

Start your plumbing work by scheduling local professionals well in advance, as small markets experience extended wait times. Always secure necessary permits early and schedule required inspections to keep your timeline on track. Avoid scheduling exterior excavation during the harsh MO winter. You must also call the state utility locate service before digging to avoid striking buried lines.

Helpful?

Older homes in Lawson feature deteriorating cast iron or galvanized steel pipes that require immediate replacement. Full basements complicate drainage by requiring ejector pumps for below-grade fixtures. For rural properties, unmapped septic systems and private wells add significant project complexity. Finally, heavy clay soils shift with seasonal temperature changes, which stresses buried lines and causes joint failures.
