"SirVent came to my home at no-charge to give me a bid. They even brought along a few different sized chimney caps but none worked. When the special order size came in they did the installation even though I was out of town, sent pictures of the installation and took payment after the fact. Very professional and friendly. Would definitely use again!"

"The owner was responsive to my calls and punctual on the first 'assessment visit'.  Due to 'big deal' sales, he ended up not doing the work himself - his son (?) did the tuckpointing & installed new chimney cap.  Work was completed on time and they cleaned up afterwords.  Easy to recommend this company for others looking for minor chimney repairs.

Chimney Liner Installation questions, answered by experts

The recommended PSI (pounds per square inch) for cleaning vinyl siding can vary, so it's best to consult the manufacturer's guidelines. Generally, vinyl siding can handle high pressure, from 2,500 to 3,500 PSI. For comparison, more delicate materials like wood and aluminum siding should not face more than 1,500 PSI. To safely disperse the pressure on vinyl, use a tip with a wider spray span, such as a green (25-degree) or yellow (15-degree) nozzle. For routine cleaning of light dirt, a garden hose with a spray nozzle may be sufficient. Always exercise caution to avoid using excessive pressure that could damage the siding.

Pool liners are important for several reasons. They can help minimize algae growth, since algae can grow quickly on porous wall panel materials, like gunite. The pool liner is also important for pools with metal wall panels, to keep pool users safe from touching hot metal. These liners can help contain the water, especially for above ground pools, and can also simply add a decorative touch to your swimming pool.

If you’re wondering how to find a leak in an aboveground pool, the process is the same as it is for an in-ground pool. Note that the vinyl liner in aboveground pools is fairly thin, so sharp objects easily puncture it. Additionally, the liner can wear down after constant exposure to pool chemicals, especially when chlorine levels are higher than they should be. For these reasons, small holes in the vinyl liner often cause leaks, but you can easily detect them with the dye test.

Pool leaks most commonly occur at joints or where different materials meet. The most frequent leak spots include:

  • The Pool Skimmer: Where the plastic skimmer meets the pool's liner or shell.

  • The Pool Liner: Tears can develop in vinyl liners, especially those between 5 and 20 years old. Leaks also occur around the liner's edge.

  • Fittings and Accessories: Areas around return lines, the main drain, and pool lights are common culprits.

  • Pool Equipment: The pump, filter, and filter housing can also leak.

While leaks in underground pipes are less common, they can be costly to fix. It's usually best to check the more common spots before investigating the plumbing system.

Customization options may include different pool shapes, sizes, decks, and additional accessories like ladders or pool lights.
