"In 2016, the company returned to clean the chimney. The technician discovered that the heat shield was peeling away from the bottom tile. We had not seen this. The technician said that the heat shield was under warranty. The company contacted the manufacturer to learn how to make the repair. They returned and repaired the flue at no charge. We are impressed by their honesty and professionalism."

"SirVent was able to work with another company to custom-fabricate an energy top chimney damper and install it for my over-sized chimney. It took a couple of tries to get it to properly function, but they saw it through to a successful completion."

"Josh installed a new cap on my chimney when the old one came off from hail and wind. He came the next day as promised, installed the cap for the reasonable price he quoted and was very professional. I will use him again in the future for chimney work."

"Terry came out and gave us a quote.   He was able to get out and get the work done within 2 days of giving us the quote.    He was on time.   Worked quickly and did an excellent job.   His clean up was thorough, so that other that the work he did you could not tell he had been here.
The job did not take as long as he had estimated so the final bill came in below the estimate.   He also gave us some tips on how to maintian the chimney.
We will definitely be calling him again for any other mansonry work.

Chimney Liner Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, some liners are designed to be more durable and environmentally sustainable.

Pool leaks most commonly occur at joints or where different materials meet. The most frequent leak spots include:

  • The Pool Skimmer: Where the plastic skimmer meets the pool's liner or shell.

  • The Pool Liner: Tears can develop in vinyl liners, especially those between 5 and 20 years old. Leaks also occur around the liner's edge.

  • Fittings and Accessories: Areas around return lines, the main drain, and pool lights are common culprits.

  • Pool Equipment: The pump, filter, and filter housing can also leak.

While leaks in underground pipes are less common, they can be costly to fix. It's usually best to check the more common spots before investigating the plumbing system.

By accurate installation, using quality materials, and providing care advice.

The cost to repair a swimming pool varies widely, with an average cost around $700. The total expense can range from as little as $10 for simple DIY fixes to over $20,000 for extensive overhauls. Key factors influencing the cost include the type of pool (in-ground vs. above-ground), its size, and the specific repairs needed. For above-ground pools, repairs typically cost between $100 and $700. For in-ground pools, costs are higher, generally ranging from $350 to $2,700. Common repairs include patching liners, fixing plumbing or electrical lines, and repairing equipment like pumps and filters. More complex issues, such as fixing a cracked beam, can cost $6,000 or more, while major projects like resurfacing a concrete pool can cost between $10,000 and $20,000.

How long a pool liner lasts depends on the type of pool. Most in-ground pool liners last between six and 12 years, while aboveground pool liners last anywhere from six to 10 years. You can extend the life of your pool liner by maintaining proper pool chemistry, adding chemicals individually to avoid staining the liner, using a pool cover to protect it from the sun, and keeping sharp objects away from it.
