Olshan Foundation Repair
Olshan Foundation Repair
Established in 1933, Olshan Foundation provides cost-effective foundation solutions to residential and commercial property owners. We proudly service homeowners in Wichita from our office in Nearby Missouri. About a quarter of the homes we visit do not require foundation repair. Services are backed by an available warranty, friendly customer support and convenient payment options. Free, no-obligation structural assessments are performed by Certified Structural Technicians. Since no two homes are alike, our Technicians carefully inspect the problems affecting your home before developing a comprehensive repair plan designed uniquely to your property. Olshan is the exclusive provider of the Cable Lock ST Plus repair system. This hybrid design combines the penetrating power of concrete with the long-term durability of steel, providing a longer, deeper more secure repair. We also offer drainage and root barriers to help prevent foundation damage. Schedule a free, no-obligation assessment now. Your home’s structural integrity depends on the strength of your foundation. It supports everything else – walls, windows, floors, doorways, roof – so when your foundation is damaged, it can cause serious problems throughout your home. Like most things in life, your foundation is subject to environmental stress. Expanding and contracting soil, excessive moisture and inadequate drainage are some of the most common threats to your home’s foundation. Over time, environmental stressors can cause a foundation to shift, crack or settle unevenly. And homeowners often miss early warning signs of foundation damage. Homeowners spend about $4 billion annually stabilizing faulty foundations, and those costs may increase as more homes are built in areas known for shifting soil. Understanding risk factors and signs of foundation problems can help you protect your most valuable asset from irreversible damage.
"Terrible service, our front was sinking due to our fireplace. We got a quote ($28,000), for their "patented" footings - enormous metal poles under each of the house supports for the front. Pretty slick snowjob, they quoted us 3 days but took 5. They dumped all the concrete they removed in the backyard without asking and left an enormous hole in the front of the house where the fireplace is. When I (5'1" femme) asked to speak to a supervisor about the delay and dumping, they sent a good old boy (300 pds, 6'2") to scream at me in my living room. No supervisor was present to verify the work and I was not permitted to watch them. They pressured me to sign the inspection form, without me inspecting anything. They are a SCAMMMM! I would only recommend Olshan as revenge."

In my case they noticed we had a dehumidifier and a year later they ripped my wife off and sold her an over $2000 dehumidifier, and when I asked her to send it back they refused to take it back and now we're stuck with it so it seems, absolutely disgusting way of working."

Kansas & Missouri Public Adjusters
Kansas & Missouri Public Adjusters
A public adjuster is an insurance claims adjuster who advocates for the private citizen (policyholder) in appraising and negotiating a claimant's insurance claim. Aside from attorneys and the broker of record, public adjusters licensed by state departments of insurance are the only type of claims adjuster that can legally represent the rights of an insured (private citizen) during an insurance claim process. A public adjuster will be most beneficial when it is clear that the insurer (insurance company) will pay the claim and the only issue is the proper identification and valuation of the loss. Most public adjusters charge a percentage of the settlement, with the average charge being between 10% to 15%. Primarily they appraise the damage, prepare an estimate and other claim documentation, read the policy of insurance to determine coverage, and negotiate with the insurance company's adjuster.

Family owned dumpster rental service. Weekly rates in all sizes. Two trucks for fast delivery and pick-up service mondays through saturdays. Residential, commercial, and industrial. Junk removal, remodeling, renovation, construction debris, roofing materials, yard waste, trees and brush, flooding, fire and smoke damage, foreclosures.
"I am VERY DISAPPOINTED with the service of this company!!! I should have know this was going to go like this when they arrived 4+ hours late with the dumpster and the owner tried to tell me a sob story about just having heart surgery and being a man down. But I just let it go and tried to understanding. I was told when the man dropped off the dumpster that I would receive a courtesy call in 10 days to ask me if I was finished with the dumpster or if I needed additional time. I took him at his word and expected that they would call before showing up to take it and to make sure additional time was not needed. However the man showed back up without calling me to let me know or ask if I needed additional time. I had some items that were large that I needed help with and a few other items that I wanted to put in the dumpster last that I had been waiting on to do until I got the call. But he showed up and nobody was home to help me load the last items. I explained to the man who was picking it up that I had expected him to call like he said he would, and he said yes it just got overlooked and said he would call the owner to see what could be done. The owner then called me and told me it would be an additional $90 to keep the dumpster until later that evening which I said I’d be willing to pay and then he told me that he could not even do that!!! At that point I was very frustrated, and let the man know that when you tell your customer that you will call prior to picking up and to make sure that the don’t need additional time that this is what they expect out of you!!! I told him it was very a bad business practice, and he then threatened to call the police on me to pick up the dumpster!!!!!!! To say I was shocked does not even begin to describe how I felt!! At no point had I ever said he couldn’t take his dumpster!!! I simply expressed my disappointment that they did not honor what they said that they would do!! Truly shocked at the behavior of this owner!!"

FAQs for structural engineering projects in Holt, MO
No, it’s not legal for unlicensed individuals to conduct structural calculations for buildings or building repairs. Not only do licensing requirements prevent DIYers from tackling this project, but mistakes can also be extremely dangerous and put your property and anyone inside or near it at risk of severe injury or even death. You should always hire a licensed and certified local structural engineer to make structural calculations.
Yes, all states require structural engineers to carry the proper license, with specifics determined by each state. You can use Angi’s state licensing tool to confirm that the structural engineer you’re considering holds the required licensing to tackle your job. Hiring an unlicensed structural engineer will not only cause issues with permits but it could also lead to an unsafe building. The cost of a professional, licensed, and experienced engineer is well worth the investment.
The process of hiring a structural engineer starts by finding reliable professionals in your area and comparing quotes from at least three of them. From there, you can narrow down your selection by asking some leading questions:
Do you have experience working in my specific area?
Do you have professional indemnity insurance?
What will your structural report cover?
Do you charge a flat fee for a structural report or by the hour?
How long have you been in business?
Do you have a list of customer references?
Structural engineers typically charge between $100 and $250 per hour, but many jobs won’t be based on a per-hour fee. Instead, the structural engineer will offer a flat rate for the inspection and structural calculations. The flat rate for a structural engineer costs an average of around $550, but you could see prices ranging from $300 to $800, depending on the complexity of your project and how easy it is to access certain parts of your home for the inspection.
Whether you’re building a new home or building an extension on your existing property, you will likely need both a structural engineer and an architect. A structural engineer will determine what loads your foundation and framing can safely handle, and an architect will draw plans according to those structural calculations to simplify the building process. You can start by contacting a structural engineer near you, as many work alongside architects and can get all of the prep work done at once.
