I’ve worked exclusively with stone since I built my first company in Southwest Florida – BC Stoneworks, Inc. (1999-2004). When I started my second company, Solid Rock Stoneworks Inc. (2006-2008), I was running three install crews with ten fulltime employees before the business came to a premature end when the economy collapsed. I’ve no desire to revisit that kind of stress, so I now specialize in installing custom stone products by myself. I enjoy making the dream of having gorgeous kitchen counters or bathroom vanities a reality for customers who’ve worked hard to own them, and I take care to ensure that every tiny detail is as perfect as possible. My seams are what most customers are amazed at, and I can receive no better compliment than when a client cannot even find them. A little-known fact that big granite retailers worry the public will discover is that anyone can now buy pre-fabricated 8’ x 26” slabs of granite and quartz with a finished edge on three sides and a 4” backsplash for under $250 at Menards and a few other home-improvement stores.
