"I would highly recommend Dana King Design Build Remodeling for a remodeling project. We used them for both a master bathroom and a master bedroom remodel. Both rooms turned out absolutely gorgeous. I actually heard about Dana King Design Build Remodeling through a direct mail ad and decided to see what they could do for us and our master bathroom, which was in desperate need of a remodel. We had done remodeling projects in the past, some major, such as extending our previous house to add larger bedrooms and add a jack-and-jill bathroom. We’ve also done two kitchen remodels, a theater addition, lower levels, and a couple of bathrooms. Some of the projects we general-managed, and for others we hired companies, but either way we always seemed to have to manage and “sweat each detail.” Frankly we were so done with that scenario and wanted a complete turn-key operation. That is absolutely what we got with Dana King Design Build Remodeling! When we initially reached out to Dana King Design Build Remodeling, Dana came to our home with Meg, her design architect, and they talked to us. We decided to invest in the design fee to see their ideas and what they could do for us. We are glad we did! Dana King Design Build Remodeling had wonderful ideas and are the perfect mix between personable and professional. With any remodel project there are always issues and delays, and Dana King Design Build Remodeling addressed these minor problems promptly and professionally. Our master bathroom project did not involve moving walls, but did have a large whirlpool tub that needed replacing. The bathroom was completed in late 2019 and we are thrilled with the results. We loved it so much that we decided to hire Dana King Design Build Remodeling to do our master bedroom. I did not think they could outdo themselves, but they did! The master bedroom is spectacular, even more impressive than the bath. As a designer friend of mine said: “I don’t know if I could sleep there because I would want to stay awake enjoying it!” So true, and we agree. For our master bedroom projects we worked with Meg again, and with their designer Michelle. Their ideas and furnishings were over the top and incredibly stunning. They were both easy to work with and communication for both projects was through an app called Basecamp, where everything is documented and all parties involved are notified. Don’t worry if you’re not tech savvy, I’m not, and I figured it out. We could also contact them directly by phone or text, which I also did. The carpentry in the master bedroom, which involved beautiful moldings and “paneling look,” was done by Kent, who did a phenomenal job. Kent also supervised all the trades coming through the house: electricians, blinds, painters, etc. Kent was a pleasure to work with, very conscientious and an all-around nice guy. Dana King Design Build Remodeling followed all safety protocols for Covid-19, including masks, a washing station at the entrance, and sanitizing upon exiting. They were patient with us regarding delaying the project start date, as it was in March of 2020. Even though furnishings were ordered and delivered, they stored all items until we felt comfortable with starting the project. In conclusion, we are extremely pleased with the job Dana King Design Build Remodeling did for our master bathroom and master bedroom. They were not the least expensive, but we held them to high standards for the price paid and they followed through. No regrets!"

"Al is a true professional and we are so glad we chose Birkenmeier & Sons. First of all, Al brought his subcontractors with him to the initial meeting so he could provide an accurate proposal. Al also brought in a professional decorator to help design project and pick out fixtures and materials. Once we got started, they went to great lengths to put up plastic barriers and floor protection to protect the rest of the house from construction dust and debris. Demolition went quickly and the renovation process went smoothly. Al's carpenters and subs were all very professional and friendly. Al was on scene throughout the process to make sure job was done right. We are completely satisfied with the results, highly recommended!"

"We hired MH Construction for a kitchen renovation, and we are thrilled with their work! Mike and his team were excellent from start to finish. Mike kept in regular contact with us throughout the process, answering our questions and working out the design. He and his team were amazingly efficient, often getting more completed each day than we’d anticipated, and they were polite, professional, and always kept the work area clean and safe. They also went the extra mile and conscientiously fixed unexpected issues they found, including several smaller electrical and plumbing glitches. Best of all, we couldn’t be happier with the end product: our kitchen is beautiful and more functional than ever. "Gary Kimberlin's team did a great job for us with a series of small projects which were too big for a handyman, but apparently too small for most contractors. Most of the general contractors we contacted through Angie's List never never got back to us, but Gary treated us as valued customers from the start. Gary himself contacted us to provide a bid, and his responsiveness was exceptional. He spent about an hour with us taking measurements and discussing what we wanted to accomplish. Maybe we could have found a cheaper bid out there somewhere, but we were pleased with the punctuality and quality of the work, so I don't regret a cent that we spent. We had a series of small tasks which Gary's team performed over a couple of days. They arrived and departed when they said they would. First, they installed roll insulation in the crawl space under our living room. Rather than stapling the insulation in place, they recommended a slightly more expensive hanging system which allows the insulation to be removed and then put back without damaging it. Since additional remodeling is always a possibility, we appreciated the foresight on this issue. Second, we had planned to install a skylight in the living room, but Gary suggested can lighting instead, and I'm glad he did. Any time you punch a hole in the roof, it could leak, no matter how well you seal the edges. Can lighting was less expensive and created no possibility of leaks. We weren't happy with the first set of can lights Gary's team installed. Without complaint, Gary's team uninstalled them and replaced them with lights that we could swivel to highlight our artwork on the wall. We appreciated the team's flexibility and good attitude about the change. Third, the most complex portion of the job was repairing a wall and floor that had been damaged with pet urine. Gary's team removed the damaged baseboard, cut away the damaged carpet and pad, repainted the wall, and installed a new baseboard. This left a hole in the carpet which we covered with a throw rug, which was the solution of our choice. The repairs to the wall are seamless -- you'd never know the work had been done. Gary didn't press us to replace the whole carpet, which we weren't ready to do because our beloved older pet was still with us. The solution worked -- the smell is gone, and we didn't spend more than we wanted to. We'll complete that remodel another day. Last but not least, Gary's team did a thorough job cleaning and repairing the gutters. Small sections of guttering had come loose, which they refastened to the roofline. The one part of the remodel that didn't go as I had hoped pertained to a roofing issue. We had a gap in the soffit panels under the eaves. We had been concerned that a squirrel could climb through the hole and nest under the roof. Gary's team assessed the roofline and said that the hole in the soffit didn't communicate through to the attic, as far as they could tell, so the squirrels couldn't use it as a gateway. Unfortunately, that conclusion turned out to be incorrect. Six months later, we had to pay a wildlife control company to get squirrels out of our attic. The animal control team determined that the entry point was the hole in the soffit and installed a sheet metal cover for it. While the squirrel removal and roof repair were expensive, I don't fault Gary's team for mis-diagnosing the issue. Two other contractors/handymen had previously looked at the same problem and reached the same conclusion as Gary did, so obviously it was tricky. (We had had squirrels under the roof in a previous home, so I was concerned about this issue.) We look forward to work with Gary Kimberlin Construction again on a future remodel."

"We found Tom and his team to be very professional, timely and respectful. They provided us with a high quality of workmanship and we are very happy with the overall results in all 3 bathrooms. Tom is not only the owner, but is very hands-on. He provided us with some good ideas on products and when we had a bit of a problem with a vendor Tom was very helpful in getting the issue resolved. If we decide to do more updates, we will definitely call Terbrock Remodeling. M&K"

"GA Chott did a fantastic job with our full kitchen remodel and master bath remodel. We knew we wanted to take our time with such a large project scope. We met with Darryll, the owner, in the Fall of 2020 to go over our project details and get a quote. We wanted to knock down walls to open up our kitchen, so Darryll gave us the name of a reliable structural engineer that we could contact and determine if the walls were load bearing. Once the structural engineer gave us the OK we signed our contract with Darryll in January, 2021. Darryll was kind enough to keep his price quote from several months prior, even with material prices going up. We ordered our cabinets by March, with the expectation that the work would begin in June. Sure to their word, all of the cabinets and other materials arrived in time to begin the project in June. The Job Foreman James was wonderful to work with. He, and his crew arrived on time every day, and kept in touch with us about every detail. The kitchen project took about 6 weeks to complete. It was a big job, with walls being removed, new recessed lighting, and removing our popcorn ceiling. Once those tedious tasks were done the cabinets only took about a week to install, and then they hooked up all of our new appliances for us. The countertops were installed by Stone Trends, which is one of GA Chott's preferred contractors. Stone Trends was a little backed up so there was a bit of a wait on the countertops, but once they were installed GA Chott came back and finished our backsplash tile, and it looks fantastic. While waiting for the kitchen countertops GA Chott completed our master bath project within 1 week. They removed our old vanity, reconfigured our closet wall, and installed a new, larger vanity for us. They refinished our closet, installed a new door, installed new ceramic floor tile, and installed a new lighting fixture and a larger mirror in the bathroom, which we picked out. Between these 2 large scale projects GA Chott basically had everything finished in 7 weeks. I would highly recommend them for any home improvement project. I know we will for sure be using them again for future projects."
