"Everything went pretty well. We were especially pleased with the insulation installer. The assessment seemed a little cookie cutter. The assessor setup the blower device and wanted to be on his way ASAP after it was completed. They generated a huge report with recommendations and explanations of energy audits, energy use, potential savings, etc. I had some followup questions, the home energy auditor was not always responsive to email questions. I have more questions than most people. Generally speaking the job was done relatively well and I'm confident our home is less drafty than before."

"My objective was to fix a frozen water problem in a laundry room addition. The fellow doing the audit offered to expand the objective to include a free total energy audit with solutions to other energy improvements that might be considered in addition the main objective of solving the frozen water line in the laundry room addition. Their total energy saving audit appeared to make sense but resulted in a cost more than I could justify. However the cost to just solve the frozen pipes in the laundry room addition was not of enough dollar value and needed to be added to some of the other recommendations to justify their involvement. I can understand their need to limit their involvement in jobs of a certain dollar value. However I just need a small portion of their total recommendation and will seek someone that can justify a small job..Some of the energy saving recommendations made sense and I may consider some of those recommendations in the future."

"I highly recommend Morning Star Windows and Siding and the owners Melissa and Eric.  When searching for a company to replace the windows and siding, we had several companies quote the job.  Melissa and Eric were not only more professional and personable, but they were also by far the cheapest.  Melissa and Eric started the process by coming to our house to measure and they provided us with samples with their work.  They were very clear with what our options were and the cost of the project.  We chose from a variety of siding and beautiful windows.  While sitting at our kitchen table, they drew up a contract for the job. They also stated that the amount that was contract was the amount we would be charged.  They referred us to any energy consultant.   By having the Energy Consultant (which is free), come through our house he told us a variety of ways to save money on our heating and cooking bill.  He told us where to add insulation, where to move insulation, how to add a programmable thermostat, and he created a document of the amount of energy we were losing due to the poor installation and windows.  Also by having him complete the energy audit, we received a $400 rebate on the windows.  It was actually a duplex that we were replacing the windows and siding, so we received an $800 rebate.  Melissa did a fabulous job of keeping me up to date on the progress of the project.   If the project had a delay, we were the first to know.  The crew that actually installed the windows and siding was respectful, pleasant, and nice to my children.  They installed insulation, house wrap, siding, windows, and sliding doors, replaced wood rot, and trimmed the windows in beautifully. They entire project came out beautiful. The house has a huge exterior transformation. Once the job was complete, Melissa and Eric came out and did a walk through with me to make sure that everything looked and was completed as promised.   We just received the first full month energy bill and we had a $50 savings!!! This company is honest, reliable, organized, and I HIGHY recommend them.  If you choose Morning Star windows and Siding, you will get more customer service, more product, and have a family owned business to complete your job.  I am very happy with the work they did, and you will be too.
